The English flag flies free!

And assassination dire and grim.
And has heard the shrieks of its victims
Drown even the jingo hymn.
Where is the flag of England?
Seek the land where the natives rot
And decay, and assured extinction
Must soon be the people’s lot.
Go to the once fair island
Where disease and death are rife
And the greed of colossal commerce
Now fattens on human life.
Where is the flag of England?
Go sail where the rich galleons come
With their shoddy and wasted cotton,
And beer and Bibles and rum.
Seek the land where brute force hath triumphed
And hypocrisy hath its lair.
And your question will thus be answered
For the flag of England is there!

Get over it, every flags been a butchers apron at some stage. Tis the base nature of humanity to divide and conquer, survival of the fittest etc. Thankfully many have evolved past these tired patterns of behaviour. QEII was the epitome of a human being who used her platform to demonstrate an evolved stance. No one has a leg to stand on bitching about her because there’s 70 fucking years of proof that she was an exceptional human being. Do what you like with any flag, but trash QEII, it’s poor taste. Not forgetting that she had her own business income from the Duchy of Cornwall and Duchy of Lancaster. Very lucrative and while not required to pay tax, the Queen in fact chose too, and did. I heard it costs Britons less than one pound per year for the royal families costs. Not bad considering the royal family drives tourism in the UK, the crown and all it’s obscene wealth and glory is hugely symbolic the world over and the working royals do work hard promoting their realm. Even NZ’s tourism benefits by their royal tours here from time to time. They’d be filthy rich whether their citizens paid their costs or not. But they do choose to give back so credit where it’s due I reckon. Anyway, not for us to tell the UK how to run themselves I reckon, jmo
