The saddest boy in the world with the loneliest robot ever built

David Seymour bitching about the cost of a public holiday for the Queen’s death once agains shows ACT up as the Party who knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

Sometimes the cost isn’t the issue, knowing when those moments are highlights your values and true character.

While we are discussing ACT, can we just reflect on the freedom party advocating for ankle bracelets on 11 year olds?

How politically Ghoulish is it for the State to intrude into the life of a child with such Orewllian overkill?

A- Very Politically Ghoulish
B – Exceptionally Politically Ghoulish
or C – Oh God, David Seymour is a Ghoul and he’s eating my face level political Ghoulishness?

Children in ankle bracelets, the amputation of 5 Ministry’s and bitching about paying for your Nanas funeral, that’s what ACT stand for.
Oh and starting a race war.

Criminalising kids, eradicating Māori, Women, Pacifica, Youth and Ethnic Community political voice, starting a race war and trying to shortchange Nanas funeral.

That’s what you are getting when you vote ACT.

Let’s not pretend otherwise.

    • I’m a retired pensioner and I’ll be off overseas if Act get any where close to having a say. All I could hope for is that the Wellington gnomes fuck him around like they have with Jacinda and he can’t get anything done.

    • Homelessness, children left to rot that’s what you get from the Labour Government, let’s not pretend otherwise.

  1. Well if the 11 year old uses a car to drive into a shop that that 11 year olds wants to rob then yes, that 11 year old if they go on home d will be fitted with an ankle bracelet once they are old enough to actually be held to account for their actions.
Maybe we should give free e-cars to these kids so that they could rob others in a sustainable greenwashed manner, which would be so more acceptable to some voters in certain places. I can see the slogan:
Vote Labour 2023 – our ramraiders drive E-cars, so clean, so green, so 100% Aotearoa!
But then you can also just make it appear as if the dude in your image had any influence at all currently and even in the near future. Unless of course the public is so fed up with wee 11 year old darlings that steal cars, ramraid shops, endanger themselves and everyone around us that they would vote for someone, anyone who would put these wee darlings in a place or position were they could no longer steal cars, ramraid shops and endanger themselves and everyone around them. And that would then no be Labour cause they simply won’t and the Greens lol ….the greens lol. ……

  2. I was listening to ACTS marketing campaigner ‘Sean Plonket’ disguised as a journalist yesterday for laughs on the far-right site ‘Platform’ discussing with RRC Meng Foon about the importance of Maori language in NZ/AO. Sean a devout white supremacist just can’t help himself in gaslighting Maori and the utility of its use opposed to the value that this indigenous language adds to New Zealand and being a New Zealander.

He advocated for Chinese and Spanish language to be added to our education curriculum and wondered why “US” New Zealanders are trying to revive a dying language even thou he can’t speak Chinese or Spanish and it sounded like he doesn’t want too learn either. These are ACTS supporters values and beliefs that focus on the lurid and exaggerate the extreme. IMO these lot are becoming less influential in our society but currently they pose a threat to peace and harmony especially when our society is facing a more graver threat like climate warming escalation, economic downturn and a war that has the potential to go viral and end our planet as we know it.

ACT is disingenuous on multiple levels and when it comes to Maori issues we get the Winston Peters BS claiming Maori heritage and in the same breath start putting the boot into the culture that they claim to be apart of dog whistling to its constituencies effectively playing the race card.

    • I find Sean Plunket intelligent and witty.
Certainly doesn’t meet the standards of the rote left who need dogma in the absence of individual thought.
Anyone who doesn’t comply with left leaning dogma is a racist.
      It’s desperation.

      • Bob the first this is coming from someone that accuses Maori of practicing apartheid! Dude you really have nothing to debate but your little syde remarks majority are meaningless

          • Last week I was talking to a South African who lived through the apartheid regime in SA. He said that fools like you who call co- government apartheid, are delusional.

He was originally from Soweto. Jesus Bob, get a grip.

          • buahahaha Bob the first, luckily you’re not the sharpest knife in the cutlery draw!! Maori rights that hasn’t been recognized since 1840 are recognized in Westminster common law and enshrined in the Treaty of Waitangi article 2. Liberal democracy has been weaponized to alienate Maori from their rightful resources!

The Rome Statute written into International law defines apartheid as inhumane acts of a character similar to other crimes against humanity “committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other racial group or …

Tell me how Maori are dominating and enacting inhumane acts towards Pakeha and non- Pakeha snowflake??

            Leave examples here please:

            • Dominating by having more voting power than any other ethnicity.
              I never mentioned inhumane acts.
I’m choosing to ignore the racist tone of your post.

              • Buhahahaha using the race card isn’t an argument it’s a cop-out especially when I’ve never said anything racist snowflake!

And the argument that Maori get special privileges or more voting rights is just fantasy. It’s called inclusion and positive affirmation instead of FPP that see Maori excluded from the decision making process of resources that belong to them recognized in the TOW article 2. This has been happening for to long and needs to end.

    • At least they are being honest on what they will do, in their policies…you may not like them but they are there to make a decision on whether to vote for them or not!
Now where was Te Puapua or 3waters in Labours proposals/manifesto prior to 2020 election?
What’s worse Stephen voting and THEN finding out policy, or voting KNOWING the policy?
Note: I have never voted ACT, but will give them my party vote next year.

      • Of course you are right Im Right.
Sensible truth not like the Labour Government with their hidden agenda.
How could anyone vote Labour when they don’t disclose their policy?
They are dishonest, there is no space for political parties who take their supporters for fools.

      • I think Bert is right, you are genuinely thick.
My comment was on the picture of Seymour and never a response to Stephen’s post.
But I gather a right wing troll like yourself, trolling around TDB at every opportunity with your self proclaiming right wing dogma could easily get confused based on your lack of nous.

  3. National have a lot to answer for when you consider that ACTs rising popularity is entirely built on National’s decomposing carcass.

  4. Far right loonies, *still* trying to sell failed Roger Douglas economic theory from 1985.
Like VFF, Brian Tamaki, and other far right nutters, they attract gullible followers susceptible to their weird irrational talk about invisible hands solving all our problems.

  5. Has he had a root yet–or still too busy twerking at the gym with the other incels?

Excuse my crudity, but Mr Seymour was gifted Epsom by the natzos, and by chance caught the internet/Trumper wave. He is no political exemplar, more a populist and opportunist with a nasty agenda indeed.

  6. Imagine if our IRD and our SIS had gone into The Wine Box scandal with the same efficiency as the FBI are going up trump? Would seymour be within our sphere of awareness? Would his mere presence by a reality? Would seymour’s vampire like patron, roger douglas, be out in society to continue to spread his greed diseases ? Would we be struggling under the bleak tyranny of capitalist fascism, as we currently do?
seymour represents capitalist greed. His modus operandi is to force as many of those less fortunate to work ever harder for ever decreasingly less simply by privatising what was our state owned assets. How is that ok? If I tried to be kind I’d argue that seymour is mentally unwell. But fuck that. seymour is merely a greedy arse hole with a narcissistic ego the size of Saturn so he’ll feed on all attention. That’s why we shouldn’t see him here. Or anywhere else for that matter. Not unless he’s running while screaming.

  7. I am English and a fan of the monarchy but feel it is an unnecessary to have a holiday. We have just had an extra public holiday created which would not have been factored in to this year’s accounts now businesses have another expense.

    • Assuming you’re mentioning ‘Matariki day’ which IMO was long overdue is organic to our country here before the English Royal entourage ever set foot on these shores. I for one couldn’t give 2 fucks about the queen she never done anything for myself personally unlike my father who fought in Egypt for her majesty to then come home and get shat upon. All for the price of equal citizenship which never happen in his life time.

      • I take your points Stephen.
May I ask and it’s an honest question do you believe Maori would be better off today if the English had not arrived?

        • Perhaps if the Chinese turn up in warships and steal everything you own, you might be able to answer the question for yourself dickhead.

        • Bob the first, I don’t do hypothetical BS to fall into your far-right-wing gaslighting claptrap, I prefer to comment facts like what’s the meaning of ‘Apartheid’ and NZ history that affects contemporary issues.

          • Maori were treated to racist action without a doubt but having spent time in South Africa Apartheid was a whole different ball game .The nearest you got to on this side of the World was the treatment of Aboriginal people .

          • Ok sorry to pose hypothetical question.
I think one person one vote is very much a part of apartheid.
I have never argued Maori by contemporary thinking were treated badly.

    • Tell the Australians, once they decided to have a special public holiday for the Queen’s death it was inevitable that NZ would do the same.

    • A one off holiday not to be repeated , and in certain industries they will welcome the chance to make extra revenue from a long weekend. Guess it depends how you view it

  8. Bad luck if your hip replacement was scheduled for the 26th. Hospitals are so stretched it will be weeks if not months before you get another slot.

  9. ” David Seymour: In what century did the wine-box inquiry take place?

Rt Hon JOHN KEY: One so far back I can hardly remember” https://www.parliament.nz/en/pb/hansard-debates/rhr/document/51HansS_20160412_00000407/peters-winston-oral-questions-questions-to-ministers

Seymour thinks tax loopholes/Scams ,,,, where Govt revenue is lowered by the rich & corporations ‘creatively’ shuffling money away from paying tax ,,,, are a good inside joke.

Making the rich pay tax ,,,,, is to painful and expensive for them. Austerity for the undeserving poor and sterilizing solo-mums will lift all our boats.

Giving workers an extra days holiday ,,,, is also to expensive and painful for Act .

Acts ukraine like policys of getting rid of ‘Maori affairs’ ,,, ‘PI afairs ,,, and the Waitangi tribunal ,,,, will save money and make the nation stronger.

    Privatize everything else …. .

Give them a blue And yellow tick …..

  10. The most interesting observation is the most vociferous proponents of the “holiday” are people whose views align with republicans.

Funny how everyone wants to grieve for an individual they have never met and whose actions didn’t effect their daily lives.

Could it just be they want another holiday?

    • Funny how to celebrate a 96 year old who worked up until the day she passed away people want to have a day off and then want someone else to pay for it?

Actually it’s not that funny. It’s the epitome of this govt. ‘we’re so generous we’re going to give everyone a day off, and btw someone else will pay for it’ .

What’s it about socialists and their addiction in spending other people money, never their own?

      • In fairness – it was ‘each way Albo’ that started this. Once he granted the Aussies a holiday there was nothing else the government could do. For once not their fault.

        • And Dulwich school for sexual deviants.
It could be worse National condemned the homeless to live in cars, on the streets and under bridges. Labour put them into motels, National also didn’t have a homeless register but we are finding out just now, how many Labour will have to house. Houses that National sold off mind you.

  11. What kind of holiday is it going to be. Good Friday everything closed except essential services holiday or 50% off everything at Briscoes holiday.

  12. Quite amusing to see ACT’s posts on Facebook. Nonsense and mass responses in support. I whip them up and down and around and nil reaction. They have their subscriptions to the Fascist American idea of doing things, though they don’t know that.

  13. Not so much the direct cost of another public imposed upon employers but more the indirect costs it imposes upon the people. One wonders how many elective surgeries have been postponed re-booked, how many rosters in our public services such as hospitals, police, Ambulance etc have to be re-jigged. David Seymour maybe a slime ball, but at least he’s a pragmatist.

  14. Well like the Rimmer in RedDwarf. This Act party Rimmer will say and do anything for attention.
A conviction polly is only good for nobody but themselves. Echo chamber pollys are as good as dog whistlers. They’ll attract the mindless who need to follow a sociopath who never can admit when they get it wrong and will just carry on as if nothing ever happened. And then later on in life they’ll probably write a book about themselves and admit that they have a few regrets.

  15. “How politically Ghoulish is it for the State to intrude into the life of a child with such Orewllian overkill?”

A better question is how ghoulish is it for these “children” to be terrorising hard working NZers?
I’d be happy to ditch the ankle bracelet, if we ditch the ankle.

  16. Amputate the hand of anyone who is involved in a ramraid and publicly broadcast it on television and internet.

When 10 to 20 amputations have happened, I can guarantee the ramraids will wither away, if not stop completely

    It’s a simple fixed!

    • Good grief Zelda. Will you perform the surgery, or strike the blow? Just mouthing off aye. Thankfully those ideals are forever in the centuries past. Got children have you? Didn’t think so. Care? Obviously not.
