MEDIAWATCH: Fire and Fury doco on Dumb Lives Matter protest is Wellington middle class taxpayer funded virtue signalling at its finest

Yawn.

Little has been revealed in this Stuff Circuit documentary that TDB and a dozen other commentators haven’t already pointed out, bad faith actors with dark American money radicalised the Lumpenproletariat but if we on the Left had been doing something meaningful towards the economic anxiety and pain Covid had placed on so many, these bad faith actors wouldn’t have a mob to manipulate in the first place!

This is why we had to de-escalate the Parliament protest rather than inflame it, BECAUSE EXACTLY WHAT TDB WARNED WOULD HAPPEN – HAPPENED – and that was the mass radicalisation of far right NZ.

Because there were so many bad faith actors trying to whip up frightened and angry disconnected people, we had an obligation and national security reason to dial this down!

All Trevor Mallard did by ordering in the cops was radicalise 5000 new stormtroopers!

A point this ‘documentary’ utterly misses!

Where to begin with this Wellington middle class taxpayer funded virtue signal?

Let’s start by making my position clear about the Dumb Lives Matter protest so the woke have trouble lynching me for speaking out against Stuff’s middle class propaganda.

Let’s start with a poem.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
1913 – 1951 – 2022

In the same week this protest on Parliament’s lawn was happening the Salvation Army releases its report on dire poverty while house affordability rose to another obscene level while Covid assistance mostly went to the rich…

Wealthy nearly $1 trillion richer since Covid began – Hickey

An economic and political commentator says since the Covid-19 pandemic reached Aotearoa, the rich have become richer and the poor have become poorer – in part due to the Government’s policies.

…this protest may not have been working class politics, but it was working class misery that was being manipulated by the far right on the lawns of Parliament!

This is the Left’s fault!

Imagine if Labour and the Greens had done something meaningful over the last 5 years for the lumpenproletariat so that there wasn’t this rage to exploit by the far right in the first place?

What did Labour do? Pour billions into the pockets of property speculators.

The Middle Class Marxists want a revolution that knows its pronouns! It doesn’t want the smelly lumpenproletariat spoiling the aesthetics of their dinner party activism.

Middle Class Marx 2022

The focus of the political left over the last five years has been on worthy woke virtue signals as opposed to actual policy.

We have allowed Jacinda and Labour and the Greens off the hook for transformative change for too long, and yet act surprised when those most punished by the mandates rebel.

Let me be as clear as I can be – I support Jacinda and Labour for their magnificent Covid response! I salute the courage and skill to have navigated us through this most horrific of tempests and believe the mandates are the best way forward.

I believe NZ having some of the lowest death and hospitalisation rates is a public health victory of extraordinary magnitude.

Yes as a post-marxist anarchist environmental socialist I detest the State up in my grills as much as the next free individual, but I agree with this curtailing of my civil liberties for the public good.

B-U-T we on the Left have failed to challenge the neoliberal economic hegemony that continues to devour so many lonely lives and fills them with such hopelessness that they are bait for Facebook hate algorithms.

To then go a step further and have middle class woke Twitter paint them all as Nazis seems a tad self conflated even for Wellington.

I have zero truck with these feral lunatic’s arguments, hell I was attempting to goad them into voting me in their Nuremberg hanging list, but they have a right to protest and their rage has been manufactured by the Left’s lack of transformative change.

I have yet to see one interview with a protestor that after a terrible & painful personal mandate experience – that truly pulls at your heart strings – that then doesn’t veer off into some crazy demented conspiracy theory – there is no doubt this misery is being manipulated by far right propagandists with malicious intent.

If we don’t want so many angry, frightened and hurt working class people turning to the Nazi’s, maybe do something meaningful about their anger, hurt and fear first?

Does anyone believe this protest would be as huge as it is if Labour had done something 4 years ago on being transformative on housing, poverty and inequality?

Stuff circuit touches upon this, but is far more focused on when they were threatened and how they felt. Yes Qanon lunatics and social media hate algorithms manipulated people, but if we on the Left had been meaningful and transformational, they would not have been so easily manipulated.

Stuff circuit bewilderingly allows Trev totally off the hook for provoking it!

On Day 3 of this lunacy, the feral lunatics had attempted to invade Parliament and were bounced off  by a professional police response.

That night the leadership of the factions imploded and many left in the morning.

As the protest was losing momentum and dying off, what did Trev do?

He waltzed out onto his balcony, threw a tantrum in front of the collective media and bewilderingly called on Police to clear the lawn.

REMEMBER IT WAS DYING, and Trev responded by enflaming it by giving these lunatics a common enemy and a 10 hour live streamed recruitment video for fucks sake! THERE WERE NOW 5 TIMES AS MANY PEOPLE THERE THAN WHEN THIS STARTED! issues made decisions that were counter productive and enflamed this madness!

He turned on sprinklers, brought in floodlights and attempted a cheap psy-ops low grade music torture by playing shitty music at them all hours of the day.

These people were pushed to the edge with nothing to lose, freezing them and trying to cause sleep deprivation will probably turn them violent, which it did.

Stuff circuit doesn’t even touch on this escalation and the impact on radicalisation, nor do they focus on the pushback by woke activists to send in Andrew Coster to bash all the Nazis!

The SIS had infiltrated the protest in the second week and rushed intel back from hyped up fantasists about all the terrible things they were going to do, just like Police Intelligence had done 15 years ago with the Urewera Terror raids.

This intel scared the bejesus out of an already frazzled system and the decision to force them off the lawns was made.

Of course the protestors were violent – we had spent 3 weeks winding them up and then call their reaction a hate crime.

This has given the far right a propaganda and recruitment win they could never have imagined but it’s also built momentum up from frightened Middle Class Marxists who demanded the Police Commissioner be sacked and the military sent in on day 2 of this Dumb Lives Matter farce…

…This new Police State will focus on Hate Speech powers, vast new budgets and new surveillance capabilities.

Already the SIS and GCSB are drawing up expanded budgets to track the ‘Nazis’.

Police want their legally questionable face recognition mass surveillance network switched on to identify the ‘Nazis’.

The Woke activist base will want hate speech laws that effectively ban any opinion they don’t like from ‘Nazis’.

The looming over reaction in police powers and state surveillance this avoidable Parliament Lawn violence provokes will be the true legacy of this bullshit.

The Police State in NZ will be cheered in by the Woke, it won’t be criticised.

Most MPs were ushered in and out under heavy police protection alongside the frightened Press Gallery, so their perception of threat is now magnified through their own personal ego, and when that happens any criticism of the new powers to make them feel safe will have you labelled a traitor or enemy of the State.

Once the Police State gets these extra budgets, they will never let them go. If they are paid to find monsters, they will find monsters even if it takes monstrous things to find them.

This huge ramping up of the Police State would normally be hidden and quietly done, but because easily triggered MPs are convinced they just survived January 6th, they will champion these vast increases in budget and state surveillance as the ‘cure’ we need.

Middle Class Marxists and their State funded media enablers will cheer the Eye of Mordor finally being switched on to punish the Lumpenproletariat Nazis.

The rest of us will shudder in horror at the abomination they are building.

Unfortunately we have no other options.

Because we refused to de-escalate,  we handed the far right a propaganda coup and their feral lunatic front with Qanon insanity entwined with Sovereign Citizen violence mixed with white supremacists crossed with yoga vegan mummy bloggers who heal with crystals has become a virulent hate virus that demands of its followers political violence.

I fear the combination of intense political polarisation, a steep economic depression and the explosion of disinformation via social media hate algorithms could generate political violence in the 2023 election.

The Far Right in NZ

The immediate threat of political violence comes from the far right. The QAnon movement in NZ is disconnected from this dimension of reality, they believe in Sovereign Citizen Sherifs who are ’empowered’ to hang enemies of free people. They are fucking lunatics who are capable and philosophically compelled to commit an act of political violence.  Add to them far right white supremacist bad faith actors and Alt-Right extremists and you have radicalisation combining with fear grifters to generate a febrile landscape of existential fears that can only be combated by justified political violence.

Out of this cauldron of self loathing and projected cultural hate is the possibility of a lone wolf actor or small cell group committing an attack on a Politician.

Ultimately the only winner here is the domestic state intelligence apparatus. The sudden need to police and use mass surveillance to control and monitor internal political dissent in the wake of an attack on a politician from far right protagonists or escalating protest movements against far right policy will be immense.

We haven’t seen radicalisation like this on a mass basis before and with economic conditions set to only get far worse, the triggers for political violence extremism are possibly already smouldering.

Stuff Circuit simply adds more heat to this furnace, not light.

  1. Well you could look at it this way.

Neither of the main partys are in control of the vote for the pending election. And, the secondary partys both feed off of them and visa versa. Its a fix number either way when they swap votes between polls.

These disgruntled voters is where the power lays in 2023. That 12%-16%(undecideds) of non aligned voters looking for some leadership.

The muddle class swingers have already swung.

If they dont throw them lot a bone in the run up to 2023’s election. It will definitely be a hung parliament.

  2. Divide to conquer then control. Isn’t that what it was all about? Create a fuss, study reaction, then crush it and have a giggle while doing so.
The peasants are revolting indeed. How to fix? You can’t. Therefore we’re all fucked. Get over it and party!
Mark my words. Decriminalise Ecstasy and all our silly little human-rabble problems will disappear within six months to a year.

  3. Why do I get the feeling @ MB that what you really want is for frightened and angry people to simply go quietly to the gas chambers in an orderly fashion?

    • Words to mutter to yourself countryboy if you don’t want to smash all the crockery – Reflection, Restraint and Rumination. Those are the 3R’s for today and all our tomorrows, kiddies.

But perhaps invite the Greeks to bring their Zorba dance to the streets and do the smashing bits their way. They have managed to hold together in their own trying times with much difficulty and we might learn something from them. Bring Yannis Varoufakis over here or better to a giant outdoor screen of an internet conference meeting. If we can’t get anywhere with these $-eyed Pollies at least we can feel we keyboard warriors have tried despite being stabbed in the back by Labour and the middle class who have been given gifts over decades, but think it’s a one-way escalator they are on.

Zorba flash mob Ottawa, Canda – better than protester mob!
This goes for 8 mins but it’s great watching everyone join in. Let’s have flashmobs organise themselvesall around NZ and get filmed onto youtube. And at the end they break ‘biscuit’ plates.

Smashing plates has been used to signal the end and the beginning, to ward off evil spirits and to express abundance. In symbolic ritual, a plate is smashed at the graveside of the departed following a Greek Orthodox funeral.9/04/2022

  4. the important point is where does the finance come from that’s only answer we need from the SIS….WHO IS FUNDING THIS SCHMOZZLE? IF THEY DON’T KNOW THEY SHOULD DO THEIR BLOODY JOBS.
we deserve to know which foreign and domestic forces are behind this

    • Agree we need to know but I am not sure it suits the Govt to tell us the truth as the rhetoric is likely more powerful than the truth

      • Fantail. The spy services will almost certainly know where the off-shore funding is coming from; whether they tell police persons is another matter.

Add the dilettantes from the Excellent Centre of Extremism ( picturesque Asian sort of naming there) at the former Victoria University who are now monitoring our speechifying and advising government and heaven knows who else on what they, the extremists, think is extreme, and quite what processes are involved in actioning objectionable dialectics seems to be an unknown, possibly because this is a transparent government. Just don’t rock the boat by wearing designer dresses which may upset Joanne Kidman, and, seriously, have another person present in any sort of interaction with any government department.

      • indeed all NZ pollies to mired in corruption to ever bite the evangelical, russian, chinese, american hand that feeds them.

    • Gagarin Part of being a good spook is keeping secrets, hush, utilising the power of shutting – uppery. If the State spies, that is the official state spies, were to start informing the great unwashed about where extremist funding is coming from, and perhaps why, it would achieve very little apart from warning the bankers to bunk. Fools rush in. One Australian fool did that in Christchurch with tragic results for the local Muslim community.

      • or annie we don’t want to embarrass our yank overlords by telling them to wind their necks in and control their xtian jhiadists…so better ‘not to know’

  5. Martyn, its’ the left wing – not the far right wing — who are starting to rise up against the status quo — evidence? Look at the protesters on Parliament ground — left wing all the way…

    • Yeah but I looked same as you and saw right wing organisers stiring up thick idiots who cpould have been on any wing with no prayer… so what now

      • Charlie — I missed seeing those right wing organisers at the protest…many of the protesters confess to have voted for Labour, or the Greens in previous elections.

        • The ‘organisers’ who are deluded idiots but dangerous idiots who are brainwashed by other more far right facist idiots stireed up the gullible with various axes to grind against guvmint authority and lined them up as canon fodder….and yes like good little sheep that they are they confessed to voting Labour or Greens, especially Matt King, Maureen Pugh, Marama Fox and Russell Coutts…Winston Peters……

        • Nathan. Don’t forget that initially the demonstrators at Parliament had no readily identifiable leaders, and politicians used this fact as one of their excuses for not speaking with them.

It looks as if leaders started self-identifying after Trevor Mallard’s decision to exacerbate the situation by provoking the demonstrators, and the resultant escalation then became as much a protest against Parliament’s attack on the people – people politicians would not engage with- as it was against its original pandemic-related issues.

      • And what if the real thing is to glance neither to the left or the right and to come in, physically, here in the flesh, intellectually, faithfully, morally, soberly metaphysically and chemically (the world being after all a chemical factory) on a wing and a prayer. The old alchemists saw this process as a ‘life’s work.’
Yeats was interested in the early Theosophical movement and a member of The Golden Dawn. When this organization fell apart because of occult wrangling he expressed the wish to found a Rosicrucian order. Fortunately art prevailed and his message is for posterity.

Our minds are at their best tonight,
        And I seem to know
        That everything outside us is
Mad as the mist and snow.’
Yeats would have treated with contempt the disgusting parody of Leonardo’s great painting.

    • Nathan. Sir Russell Coutts left-wing is he ? The Real Housewife of Auckland ? That Act chappie ?
Winston Peters and the potpourri of politicians subsequently trespassed by Trevor, aka Parliamentary Services ? The dumb mums from the wopwops camping for free in summertime downtown Wellington ? The two mayoral candidates from New Plymouth or somewhere similar who came because they “ wanted to be part of history” . What history ?

  6. “The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.” – Sums up NZ Politics today

  7. Charlie — I missed seeing those right wing organisers at the protest…many of the protesters confess to have voted for Labour, or the Greens in previous elections.

    • I know one at least who fits this bill. She attended Bishop Tamaki’s domain meetings. She is flakey but is one of those people who curiously is intuitive and right about some things. She’s pretty good on herbal remedies and told another friend whom I know pretty well what to take to get rid of psoriasis. It took three months to get an astounding result. The disease is cyclic so a year later it returned but he tried another combination of herbs. It worked but there are sporadic outbreaks. Never as bad though as the original condition. People are amazing mixtures and it doesn’t pay to divide them up in a Manichean rat trap mindset over the human condition. My flakey friend remains unvaccinated and healthy. She’s always had a dog as well as rabbits and cats so has veterinary contacts. Thereby hangs a rather interesting tale indeed. (sorry for the pun.)
I think Q-anon is controlled opposition. The old trick about an anonymous contact with TPTB who has an interpretation of political statements. The commentators are often evangelical Christians or New Age believers in avatars from The Pleiades coming to the rescue. Easily duped, sidetracked as are the woke brigade. Too confused to be hard right whatever this means. Some of these so called extreme right sites I believe to be controlled opposition as well.
Yeats was hardly a Marxist. Rather, at one stage inclining the other way as were so many after the Bolshevik seizure of power and the brutalities that followed. As in scientific circles the question is who paid? Where did the money come from? Most tellingly who were the Bolsheviks?

      • People who remain unvaccinated and healthy do so because the sheep people who they condemn have taken one for the country and them to keep the virus at a manageable level for our poorly resourced health system

        • Oh, so that’s what it was all about then, taking one for the team, informed consent, or personal choice doesnt enter into it, just do as your told because the rabid extreme left says so. Your an idiot and not a clever one.

So just who is more prominent in cases and hospitalizations in the max vaxxer countries the vaccinated or the unvaccinated?
Wht do the most unvaccinated countries have very low cases hospitalizations and deaths?
Come on Trev tell the team

          • The countries that do not have a high proportion of their citizens vaxed are in the main poor countries with poor or no record keeping where birth and death is just an individual concern. When I was in India I followed a truck with dead street people on .No records just fuel for the funeral fire.
Those with a brain and not had their heads hollowed out by Tamaki or the like know the vax was a protection against serious side effects but not catching the virus .As 97 percent had the sense to get vaccinated it stands to reason there will be a high percentage who get sickwith covid and report it.

  8. who are these ‘bad faith actors’, where do they come from, how are they resourced?

May be TDB could start being more newsy. There is so much MSM doesnt isnt going to report on.

  9. couldn’t listen to it – the stylized audio was atrocious. as if a few nutters is all it takes – lol.

  10. Mainstreaming of extreme politics? And they’re not talking about the appointment of Joanne Kidman to head the “Centre of Research Excellence for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism”? (surely a contender for the most ponderous name ever for an organization.

    • Pope Punctilious 11. It’s a toss up between laughing or crying at that rather extreme name of the VU centre to curb extremism, headed by a couple of seeming extremists themselves, deciding upon what may or may not be extreme, and, it seems, advising the government.

Locating an anti-free speech cell within a university is in itself provocative, but it’s also indicative of what a mad world we live in. I do hope that somebody is keeping an eye on them: objecting to the naming of a cat seems to me to verge on the borderline of rationality.

  11. it seems the extreme right have learned something from trotskyites re:-their plans to take over the lower tiers of local govt by ‘entryism’ don’t come crying when your rightard school board snowflakes want to burn books.

    • Gagarin I presume you can read Trotsky in the original Russian.
You have no excuse not to know that Trotsky opposed the petty bourgeois line of local assemblies that that were not soviets of workers, poor peasants and soldiers, all electing representatives to the central soviet that was the WORKERS’ STATE otherwise know as the DICTATORSHIP OF THE PROLETARIAT (over the bourgeoisie).
The problem with the peasant mob led by fascists is that the mob think they have to destroy the existing state while their fascist leaders are all betting on the Brian Tamaki clerical dictatorship The Kingdom of Brian which is a throwback to the muddled ages of rural harmony.
Equally, the middle class marxists and the post-marxists like Bomber are all competing to influence the bosses’ state when there is no hope in hell that that state will listen.
Meanwhile where is the organised working class coming up with its own solutions. A workers party that unites Maori and Pakeha workers from the ground up, fighting the mob as we go, fighting the fascist leaders, and building workers democracy to replace the bosses state.
For that, we need the real Marxists, the Trotskyists with a program for a Workers’ Government and a Workers state. Short cuts are dead ends.

      • well dave entryism refers specifically to a tactic not a a philosophy, practiced in UK (and I’m sure elsewhere) universities and most famously by the ‘militant’ group on liverpool council..developed by ‘trotskyites’ who presumably saw it as an evolution on trotskys satated position….as we know various ‘ites’ have little to do with their namesakes.

        • Entryism by the far right into local bodies bears no resemblance to ‘entryism’ as used by Trotsky to refer to the tactic of revolutionaries entering social democratic or socialist Govts to win workers from reform to revolution. The Militant turned entryism into a reformist strategy which was an abuse of the tactic. What we need is a workers’ party based on workers councils and rank and file controlled unions with organised self-defence against fascists, as part of which revolutionaries can raise their program for a workers revolution.

          • sorry dave but ‘trotsky good’ just doesn’t cut it..a tactic is a tactic whoever uses it.

trotsky was in favour of forced labour armies just like iosip vissarionovich..so far from a pure revolutionary saint.

  12. Stuff circus are deliberately stoking the fire. That’s their job, to direct attention on to scapegoats – a real conspiracy theory – away from govt actins, past, present and future.

  13. Do you think there might be more 15 October 2007 style raids (this time against Freedom and Rights Coalition et al)?
