  1. My suggestions for filling jobs include, good immigration reset policy, better utilisation of seasonal workers, improve and increase opportunities for prisoners, increase refugee intake, upskill and train more NZers, identify those on benefits who are employable and work with them, provide more incentives for example increase income thresholds for beneficiaries and students.

    • Sounds good covid p a Perhaps one of the new moves that we must make to prepare for the near future and repair some of the past is to have people with an interest and who have done some study on their subject and do have practical stuff to say — to become interns to politicians who are often out of touch with the people and are under the thumb of civil servants (see Sir Humphrey Yes Minister etc). When you have little to lose for yourself, unlike the MPs who if they get offside hurt themselves and perhaps the Party, you might be a really useful scapegoat if you are aware of the situation and are prepared to accept it for a short period of time – as eventually it would destroy your self-confidence.

  2. A 70 year old women was found dead in her car in a swanky area (Remuera) says a lot about how we have changed in NZ. Did nobody care enough, had she been sleeping outside my house I would have offered her a bed and followed up with help its so sad this is happening in our country.

The three month pilot offers kiwis an opportunity for a courier pick-up service for their discarded
    soft plastics.
(No actual date given – strange in such an age of efficiency, half the time the information is not pinned to a time slot!)
