I wish I was a better person.

I really do I know I am a very, very bad man & I wish for the sake of the resurrected Christ I was a better human being…

…I am gleeful that Jair Bolsonaro, after his Trumpian ignorance, spite & hate has contracted Covid-19.

Sorry. Not sorry.

  1. Me too! Don’t you just love the irony and ‘divine justice’.

I just hope Bolsanaro doesn’t get a quick release from this world but that he spends weeks in bed, unable to breathe without a ventilator, and, after all his boasting about having a great, athletic body, that he suffers permanent lung damage -like so many other victims of the plague that he and his covidiot mate Trump have fostered.

Whilst still functioning, Bolsanaro continues to behave like an absolute arsehole (of course):

‘Bolsonaro vetoes plans to offer Covid-19 support to indigenous people
Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro has vetoed provisions of a law that required the federal government to provide drinking water, disinfectants and a guarantee of hospital beds to indigenous communities amid the pandemic.

Bolsonaro, who has tested positive for coronavirus, vetoed 16 parts of the law on efforts to address the coronavirus threat to the indigenous population, but still allowed for provisions on adequate testing, ambulance services and medical equipment.

“The vetoes deny the minimum necessary for the survival of these communities,” Brazilian indigenous advocacy group Instituto Socioambiental (ISA) said in a statement.

“The vetoes reveal that the president’s plan is not to have a plan,” it said.

ISA called on Congress to overturn the vetoes, which it can do with sufficient votes.

‘The president also vetoed funding for the states and local governments with emergency plans for indigenous communities, as well as provisions to help give them more information on coronavirus, including greater internet access.

On the campaign trail, Bolsonaro swore to not to designate any more land for indigenous reserves. The right-wing populist has sought to assimilate indigenous peoples by calling for commercial farming and mining to be introduced on their reserves, saying it will raise them out of poverty.’

Yeah Right! Got shares in those commercial farming and mining companies, Jair?

‘Doctors may be missing signs of serious and potentially fatal brain disorders triggered by coronavirus, as they emerge in mildly affected or recovering patients, UK scientists have warned.

Neurologists are on Wednesday publishing details of more than 40 UK Covid-19 patients whose complications ranged from brain inflammation and delirium to nerve damage and stroke. In some cases, the neurological problem was the patient’s first and main symptom.’

Jair clearly has a brain disorder already but we might wish him a stroke or some other debilitating condition that will dislodge him from his high horse life of privilege and sociopathy.

As for Trump, well the tell-all book by his niece reveals to some extent how and why his narcissistic, materialistic, pathological character was formed at adolescence.

‘A new tell-all book by President Donald Trump’s niece Mary Trump paints a portrait of a psychologically damaged man who she says is ill-equipped to handle the coronavirus pandemic, economic issues and the country’s deep social divides, and whose way of life includes “lying,” “cheating,” and “sowing division,” Paula Reid reports.’

The damage he has done to people’s lives (those who have survived his onslaught) is incalculable.

But one good thing has come of his presidency: he has been instrumental in causing the US to become impotent politically, economically and militarily, and in doing so has got the [US] monkey off the back of billions of people.

And by causing an implosion of the US economy he has lessened the damage industrial humans in the US have been doing, and will do, to the local environment and the global environment. And he has brought forward ‘The Great Turning’ [from empire to localism]. So we might say, “Keep up the good work, Donald.”

You know he’s on ‘the right track’ when Mexico closes it’s border to Americans, and Europe does the same.

  2. Hope that Karma treats him and his ilk accordingly like what he’s doing to the indigenous people in the Amazon it is heartbreaking and he is knowingly contributing to their demise.

  3. I am surprised given my lifelong activism and hatred of capitalist oppression and all the rest of it, to find it hard to “say the words” myself, others close to me do, re Trump and Jair, “Covid, take them out–please”. Is that because I am a good person, or just do not want to publicly say it!

The Brazilian President is there under false pretences in a democratic sense, which is bad enough, but he is also an openly fascistic, genocidal arsehole of the first order–plans to destroy the Amazon and wipe out indigenous people, as they historically often do on his continent. Dammit you fucker, the world breathes partly thanks to the Amazon. He would not be missed.

  4. The only reason Trump doesn’t have it is because even a virulent contagion has standards.
