Parents at centre of Oranga Tamariki child uplift won’t take part in government review
The parents of a baby at the centre of an attempted removal by Oranga Tamariki are refusing to be part of a government review, saying they don’t trust the investigation will be fair or independent.
The neoliberal welfare reforms of 2016 to use big data to weaponise CYFs uplifts into Oranga Tamariki are dangerous & unjust. Those promoting big data to justify removing babies for future crimes have held up dead brown babies and screamed something must be done, we’ve allowed a watering down of legal parental rights and removed any independent checks and balances and the result is an agency that is a law unto itself.
How come defending civil servants seems to be far more important to this Government than defending the children taken and the whanau’s who have been robbed from?
Why is this Government so focused on defending neoliberal social policy that National created?
If your one job is to kidnap babies and you keep getting money for it they’re going to keep kidnapping babies no matter what anyone’s says
God, the way they weaponised their power against a pair of innocents. No punishment is good enough for staff misleading the court to acquire children for the state.
I love your mahi me ahi!
