Ding Dong Lounge presents Cuckoo’s Nest #3, a series of events promoting Mental Health Awareness within the local Auckland Rock scene & wider community.
Live bands Bad Jones & INVASION OF PIRACY play upstairs at Ding Dong Lounge this Friday night with stand-up comedy from Gary Dooley & Shaun Westerchestington, acoustic performance from Miranda Henriques, Rock DJs and guest speakers sharing their experiences of mental health.
Cuckoo’s Nest presents an opportunity to network, socialize and find guidance and support if you require it, or simply come and enjoy the acts.
Entry is by donation with all profits being directed to Anxiety New Zealand, a non profit charity offering help and support to the 1 in 4 Kiwis who experience anxiety, depression, panic attacks, OCD or phobias. They run a free national helpline on 0800 269 4389 (0800 ANXIETY) which is available twenty four hours a day, seven days a week across NZ. This service is completely confidential and is the only service of its type in New Zealand.
