Do I feel joy in this vindication of my analysis published by BusinessDesk? Absolutely not! Am I disappointed by the Government’s duplicity in obscuring its error? Very much so!
No one is attacking him for being ‘successful’ people are raising questions about an evangelical Christian with some far out beliefs who is so rich he didn’t notice gaining $2.3million!
Why not admit frankly to his membership of the Upper Room? What is it about this Fellowship that prompts Luxon and his advisers to make as little of it as possible? The answer lies in the information unearthed by the sort of journalists who know where to go looking on the Internet for linkages between evangelical Christian fellowships and ambitious right-wing politicians.
There is currently some conversation around whether Luxon is being ‘singled out’ for his Christian faith. Or, rather, whether Christianity is being singled out – and is an ‘acceptable target’.
Just so that there is no illusions here, Christian Lex Luthor’s first definitive move is to immediately unpick urban intensification to defend the interests of the landed gentry, and everyone else who owns 7 houses like he does.
