Spin-off Woke Dogma vs NZ First hate Trolls vs Chippy

The Chris Hipkins controversy isn’t just gossip politics — it’s a collision between woke culture, NZ First troll politics, and a social media ecosystem that rewards character assassination over truth.
When #MeToo erupted, men weren’t frightened of a witch hunt, (there clearly were monsters out there), they feared a witch trial.
And that’s what we ended up with.
The new Salem witch trial evidential threshold was whatever someone said on social media, due process was a heteronormative white cis male privilege and ‘To Kill a Mockingbird‘ never existed.
Anyone who said otherwise was enabling rape culture.
The political backlash to ‘B-E-L-I-E-V-E ALL women’ was the horrific election of Trump who manipulated the United States of Wounded Masculinity by using the very excesses of woke cancel culture and the weaponisation of allegations to get elected.
The Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial took on a religious fervour cultural backlash element to it because of these very cultural dynamics at play.
Allegations should be taken seriously and properly investigated using natural justice principles.
Allegations shouldn’t be believed.
The first is a rational response, the second is a faith based religion.
How woke culture burned its own credibility
The wokes’ engagement of pure temple politics drove many voters into the arms of the reactionary right and the Left has been reeling ever since.
The irony now is that the alt-right have co-opted the allegation weaponisation for their own perverse kicks.
The same alt-right NZ First-aligned online activists around the controversy involving Benjamin Doyle are all here for the Chippy character assassination…

…Winston can pretend he had nothing to do with personal character assassinations (despite having a long history of making personal character assassinations), but his feral activist base are all in, and that level of malice is actively corroding democracy in NZ.
NZ First activists are channeling hate, not philosophical political opinions
All the insufferable morality of a this could get flagged — suggest softening slightly while keeping bite feeling self-righteous.
The gleeful ignorance and celebration of the bitter inside NZ First feeds lonely anxious souls, like a kind of digital mob feeding frenzy.
Deplorable’s vs the Condescending.
All tribe. No village.
Delving into the private and the personal for these kind of political hit jobs demeans us all.
Social media is ubiquitous, we have all seen relationship meltdowns occur in real time in our timelines and shuddered at how unforgiving and toxic it all quickly becomes.
Where the issue was going to land in the New Zealand cultural landscape, was always at the wokest woke temple in the chorus of the pure, The Spinoff.
The Spinoff is so woke, they may as well just publish on Blue-sky.
The place that hires Emily Writes and was responsible for the character assassination of a Labour staffer in their infamous rape story was always going have a struggle session over who to believe, or not to believe.
They didn’t disappoint…
Why the Chris Hipkins story became a cultural battlefield
The Jade Paul-Chris Hipkins story was messy for a reason
If there’s anything we can all agree on about the Jade Paul and Chris Hipkins tumult this week, it is surely that it was messy. Of course it was. Long relationships are messy. Marriage breakups are messy. But you know what else is really messy? Our own identities, values, experiences and memories get tangled up in stories like these. What we think about them, where we decide we stand on them, and how much of this we’re willing to say out loud (or in WhatsApp chats and comments sections) can have more to do with how we see ourselves than how we see Chris Hipkins or Jade Paul.
Of course, we view all news stories through the lens of our own experiences, but the Jade Paul-Chris Hipkins story was a doozy because it drew an emotionally-charged venn diagram, with political beliefs, feminism, fairness, privacy and marriage intersecting in a fiery centre.
…Struggle sessions (pidouhui) were violent public spectacles and propaganda tools used by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), particularly during the Cultural Revolution (1966–1976), to enforce ideological conformity. Today it’s a performative public act of group therapy.
A season of perpetual outrage olympics on social media reaps a harvest of unforgivingness that never heals. Trump understood that.
The public allegations involving Chris Hipkins and his former partner using these very allegation weaponisation tools will probably help with the male voters Labour desperately needs to win back in the wake of pure temple politics alienation.

I can see the right have been trying to stitch up Chippy using dirty political tactics and trying to discredit him as much as possible. The billionaire Grenon is a gremlin using this money to influence our election and showing he is an extreme racist, who should not own a major NZ newspaper. The covid argument is being rolled out ignoring the CoC policies that have spent up large creating more debt and rewarding their voting base. Right-wing media have been painting a glossy picture of Nicky no boats with her handling of the current oil crisis. Our PM is doing selective media appearances to minimise him slipping up majorly again. NZF trolls have been busy doing there dirt deeds and telling lots of bullkaka about the opposition and past policies. It’s gonna be a dirty lowblow election with the CoC using their rich funders money to try and return themselves to power. God help us if they get back in asv too many NZers are already struggling and our environment is becoming as stressed as our people.
The bigger the gap between Peters and Hipkins the better from my perspective. It means he has less power when negotiating terms with National as he helps form the next Right wing government
And helps Labour increase their vote to form a government with the Greens and to be fair if Winston drops dead so does NZ First.
