NZ First supporters are easily the most toxic in NZ – a Vote for National is a vote for Winston

NZ First supporters aren’t just loud — they’re warping the political conversation into something meaner, smaller, and completely detached from the real crises facing New Zealand. While unemployment rises and inflation bites, Winston Peters is busy feeding culture war outrage—and dragging the rest of the political spectrum with him.
I wrote a recent blog rolling my eyes at Winston promoting culture war revenge fantasies like defining what a woman is when we face so many greater issues like Unemployment predicted to hit 5.6% while inflation is predicted to be over 4%…

…once the post went out, Winston’s social media hate troll bots sprang into action…
This is what culture war politics actually does to people

…I hope they are bots and not real people. Imagine how many of their friends and whānau they’ve alienated with their radioactive toxicity.
The TERFs are as toxic as the woke.
I was the only left winger arguing that the Left’s myopic focus on the trans issue was alienating voters well before the TERFs were even a twinkle in the eye of gender critical feminists, FFS.
Hell, I brought the term woke into the NZ political vernacular as a threat to class-left universalism before you had even heard of class-left universalism.
However, I stand with the underdog against the mob every time. While I am most certainly critical of how the welly woke coven alienated so many voters to the reactionary right over the trans issue, I also passionately believe that the most important journey of the human experience is knowing your true self.
The idea that some men think they are women, some women think they are men, some think they are both, and some think they are neither, is as uncontroversial to me as the spectrum of eye, skin, and hair colour.
I appreciate that for many Kiwis the dynamics of gender are a bit scary, and the middle-class identity politics clique did themselves and the trans movement no favours with their insane cancel culture lynch mobs that generated so much animosity.
But indulging in culture war revenge fantasies is not how you run a bloody country in the middle of a crisis.
This is exactly like NZ First making English-a-formal-language-of-NZ garbage.
So why is National still enabling Winston Peters?
It’s pointless culture war grandstanding from people who would gleefully burn books.
I don’t wish to judge a person by the colour of their neck, but wow, it’s crimson.
Comrades — friends don’t let friends vote NZ First.
NZ First supporters are easily the most toxic in the NZ political spectrum.
Not even ACT supporters are this gleefully ignorant.
The difference between ACT voters and NZ First voters is this: ACT voters will argue you can burn a book if you own it, whereas NZ First voters burn books for the joy of the pain on the faces of the librarians.
A vote for National is a vote for Winston this election.
If you are a young Nat living in a city, NZ First’s culture war gaucheness is embarrassing.
Why enable that?
If voting National enables Winston, why not vote TOP instead?
Rather than the calcified bitterness of NZ First as kingmaker for the sixth time, truly disrupt the political spectrum by voting for TOP.

If you vote National you would get a watered down Winston and feel proud about stopping tye country going backwards into Labourland for 3 years.
Are you and Bob now in a three way with Winston? And lay off the turps, your English is appalling. This National coalition have taken us back decades as anyone with a brain can attest too.
If you vote Winston you get a watered down National and a proxy PM. Even a retard like you Trevor knows this.
But we are going backwards under the current government Trevor so what are you talking about
