The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 87 and, that of those injured, is more than 211. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

Israeli Army attacks: Jenin – the Israeli Army, firing live ammunition, continued its storming of the city as well as the refugee camp.
Israeli Army attack – 14–year–old boy wounded: Ramallah – 09:35, Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, stormed the town of Birzeit, wounding a 14–year–old boy: Marwan Tariq Abdul Aziz.
Israeli Army attacks – home invasions in refugee camps: Tulkarem – Israeli forces, firing live ammunition and tear gas canisters, continued to storm the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, invading and occupying homes, to use as military posts.

Israeli Army vandalism – olive harvest sabotage: Ramallah – morning, Israeli forces demolished a facility containing electrical equipment, on the eastern side of Al-Mughayir village, bulldozed a children’s garden and uprooted ancient olive trees.
Israeli Army vandalism – economic and agricultural sabotage: Qalqiliya – 11:25, the Israeli Army demolished two warehouses and an agricultural building, on the western side of Al-Funduq village.
Israeli Army olive harvest sabotage: Salfit – Israeli troops continued bulldozing olive trees, in the Al-Mazra’a roundabout area of Deir Istiya, and uprooted around 70 ancient olive trees at the entrance to Kafr Haris, for settlement purposes.
Israeli Army vandalism – and agricultural sabotage: Hebron – the Israeli military demolished a wall, with a trellis prepared for growinggrapevines, in the village of Khirbet Deir Razeh.
Occupation settler stoning: Ramallah – 11:00, Israeli Occupation settlers stoned passing vehicles, at the western entrance to the village of Al-Mughayir.
Occupation settler robbery: Ramallah – 14:20, an Occupation settler stole a motor vehicle belonging to a farmer, Ayser Raed Misbah Da’as, while working his land between the town of Kobar and the village of Beitillu.
Occupation settler aggression: Jericho – morning, Israeli settlers raided the Al-Auja waterfall community and aggressively released their livestock in front of people’shomes.
Occupation settler stoning: Bethlehem – 08:50, Israeli Occupation settlers damaged a motor vehicle, in the village of Rashida, while throwing stones.
Occupation settler olive agriculture sabotage: Bethlehem – 17:40, Occupation settlers, in the village of Al-Maniya, uprooted approximately 150 olive saplings.
Occupation settler arson: Bethlehem – dawn, Israeli settlers invaded the quarry area in Khallat Hajji, east of Beit Fajjar, and set fire to a bulldozer.
Occupation settler violence – baby girl hospitalised: Hebron – evening, stone-throwing armed Israelis, from the Asfar Occupation settlement and an outpost established in the Jorat al-Khail area of Sa’ir, hospitalised an eight-month-old baby girl, Mayar Al-Shalalda, withinjuries to her face and head. Several homes and other property were damaged in the attack.

Mattan here. In 2017, I refused to serve in the Israeli army and I spent 110 days in prison. The current ceasefire has created a rare opening, one that could become a turning point toward ending the occupation. Moments like these require immediate, strategic action.

The cycle of violence and war crimes are a self-reinforcing spiral. Violence births greater violence and so forth. When violence decreases, there’s a chance to prevent the next eruption of violence. But, paradoxically, exactly at this point is when the world turns its attention away and stops supporting the work of war resistance but that is exactly when we need to work the hardest, and plan for the long term. A paradox. As you may have seen, we’ve launched a focused end-of-year campaign to help us act decisively in this window. To do so effectively, we need to raise $50,000. As of today, likely also due to this paradox, we have raised nearly $40,000.
Without closing this gap, we will not be able to fully meet the demands of this moment, and support groups of refusers and resistance as they organize to prevent the next war, exactly at the moment when we can.
