  1. A 2 week study of the climate isn’t a study, it’s barely a weather report. Think it’s more a study of the insufferable not being able to enjoy…summer?

  2. Wanganui is consistently one of the warmest places in NZ – now days – according to the Metservice. The reason for this – I am guessing – is the repositioning of wherever they take Wanganui ‘s temps from. Temps can vary greatly, even in any given household or location, depending on where the gauge is positioned.

Positioning is a possible reason for temperature changes.

    1. Yes, it’s like Europe shifted position thousands of Km closer to the equator to get the temperatures they currently have. It’s easy to notice temperature difference between the sunny and shady side of a house or in and out of the wind etc however our weather records are taken to provide certainty regarding their reliability so your excuses have no credibility.

      1. Its a possibility, I do not have concrete enough evidence to bother with something even remotely approaching an excuse. Its a possibility because of how Wanganui has become one of the warmest spots in NZ, in the last few years, when it never was the case two-three years ago, plus, based upon the twenty odd years I’ve been religiously following NZ Metservice (pays to keep an eye on the weather when you walk/cycle as much as I do). What has changed I have wondered. Well, I have heard, only heard mind you, that weather record taking positions, have, and do change. Weather record keeping does not always take this change into account. Thus, this is a possibility that is worthy of consideration.
