  1. Go ahead and make your fair point about debating the value of historic US intervention. However it is a little casual and lazy to lump Israel into that when it comes to Iran. By any measure Israel has a self defence justification. Israel is a tiny and relatively young country that literally came under attack on the day of it coming into existence in 1948. While its MMP liberal democracy has produced a tail wagging dog obscenity with the current coalition Government that does not diminish its right to exist and its right to defend itself. In the case of Iran which has persistently called for Israel’s destruction, death to Jews and attacked it directly and via its proxies, Hamas and Hezbollah the case for Israel using military force against Iran is strong and is a continuation of a long standing existing conflict.

  2. Most will agree that Iran is NOT a nice country, however Israel and the USA attacking them while in negotiations was totally unacceptable, hence why I am on Iran’s side on this one. So where is Simon Court coming from? He categorically says – “Free speech protects the right to debate and Protest. It does not extend to targeting people because they are Jewish.” Shouldn’t he ALSO BE SAYING – “It does not extend to targeting people because they are Palestinian”? Both are HATE crimes. What he said and what he failed to say apply to all races, including our Maori wh cop a lot of racism too, much from our current CoC! If he posts on line at least he should be consistent. Also not only is the greed for oil. My pet hate now is greed – how much is ENOUGH????
