  1. It’s not an “obvious coverup” more a “potential cover up” since. The Government and “experts” have constantly spun a line about the survivability of the disaster (i.e. there was none whatsoever). What if that turns out to not be true? They might have been right all along (i.e. that they were all instantly killed), but imo they can’t possibly KNOW that with 100% certainty. Going down into the mine to recover the bodies might well uncover some very uncomfortable revelations for all involved. Key and the mining cronies attitude is very much one of “don’t wanna know”. Can you really blame them, given the ramifications if it turns out to be wrong?

Some chap from Howick in the Herald Letters – Monday, 14th November 2016 – said a drone or self-driving robot via university group capability could go in to check the conditions and he would lead the project; crowd funding may be needed, but it would be a fact that if the government refused even that to go into the mine, then they have other reasons for wanting to seal the mine. What are they?

    1. yes that sounds good J a decent robot not the rubbish type we sent in last time its like sending a boy to do a mans job. I am happy to donate funds I bet others are to if it means we have a chance of getting any of our men out.
