  1. Pretty unlikely that the US could turn Russia away from China. Russia and China have been linked in one way or another for over 1,000 years. And certainly since the late 1930’s. They are a symbiotic grouping in a way that the US and Russia can never be..
China is effectively keeping Russia afloat during the current war. That won’t be forgotten. So far as Russia is concerned, China stuck with them when the chips were down.

  2. Because of BRICS and the weaponisation of the US$ the World is rejecting the US$ as a reliable reserve currency. The petro dollar is history. Saudi Arabia is selling its oil for other currencies. China is dumping U$ treasuries. So, the U$ reinforces the Monroe Doctrine of the Americas being the US’s backyard vassal. Venezuela has the World’s largest oil reserves. Stop China and Russia from using and accessing them. Kidnap Maduro and once again privatise to US oil companies the nationalised oil economy of Venezuela. Kidnap and piracy. Might = right in our backyard says Trump’s U$. Also Greenland is nearer the U$ than Denmark so its rightfully ours.

    1. Venezuela Slips Away The Collapse of U S Power in Latin America

China has quietly achieved what Washington feared for decades — a strategic breakthrough in Venezuela, right inside America’s traditional sphere of influence.
But is this the beginning of the end of U.S. dominance in the Western Hemisphere?

In this video, we break down Venezuela’s growing alignment with China, the collapse of U.S. leverage in Latin America, and how this shift fits perfectly into John Mearsheimer’s Realist theory of great power politics.

From energy deals and military cooperation to debt diplomacy and strategic ports, China’s footprint in Venezuela is no accident. It signals a major geopolitical realignment that could reshape the balance of power in the Caribbean and beyond.

⚠️ Is the Monroe Doctrine officially dead?
⚠️ Has Washington already lost Venezuela?
⚠️ What does this mean for the future of U.S.–China rivalry?

Watch till the end for a hard-hitting geopolitical analysis you won’t hear on mainstream media.

By refusing to use their UNSC veto power to block Trump’s so-called “peace plan” which punished the victims of the US/Israeli genocide and rewarded the culprits, Russia and China bear most of the blame for giving the US free rein to break international rules with impunity.
Humanity is now back to pre-WW1 conditions where genocide, forced population transfers, ethnic cleansing, etc. were accepted norms.
      Anything goes.
      Might is right.
Utterly shameful and tragic for humanity.

Bankruptcy will come before Venezuelan oil makes a difference… the empire is completely rotten at its economic, financial, and social base…

    2. Russia’s Coordinated Ship Seizures End Neutral Commerce Forever
Former CIA analyst Ray McGovern reveals how Russia executed a perfectly coordinated $3 billion maritime operation, simultaneously seizing 12 commercial vessels across the Arctic, Baltic, and Black Seas in strategic retaliation against Western sanctions. He exposes this wasn’t random piracy but calculated economic warfare using Western legal precedents to justify systematic vessel seizures that have permanently changed global shipping rules. McGovern demonstrates how Russia’s “mirror strategy” exploits Western civilization’s greatest vulnerability – complete dependence on maritime trade routes now controlled by hostile powers. Drawing from classified intelligence experience, he warns this operation signals the end of neutral commerce and the beginning of maritime warfare that threatens Western supply chains worth trillions. This explosive analysis reveals why Russia’s tactical brilliance in controlling strategic chokepoints gives them more leverage than Western sanctions ever provided.

      1. A very interesting link, and very scary too, in that its bad enough that we have one lawless country in the world (Israel aside) but to have Russia playing the same lawless game too, this is bad news for the entire world. Two sides, both lawless, spells trouble for us all.

The Incident: How Russia captured $3 Billion worth of ships and $800 Million in energy cargo in a single day.

The Trigger: The disputed collision between an American tanker and a Russian research vessel that served as the legal pretext.

The Strategy: Why Moscow is moving from passive sanction endurance to active economic counter-attacks.

The Fallout: How this shatters the “Freedom of Navigation” norms and what it means for global energy prices.

That’s all illegal oil the US stole from the middle east…

  3. Trump! How on earth is this narcissistic tyrant still around? Why is he being allowed to do exactly what he wants? He’s the one telling us he is the most important “leader” in the world – this must be where Luxon gets the patting yourself on the back from! Trump is an enormous threat to the whole world and he doesn’t give a damn as he’s on his last legs. So why is this monster unchallenged? Why is the world simply watching and waiting? Everything he touches turns to Sh&t and he doesn’t care. But we care. Those of us with families, hopes and dreams – we care. FGS someone needs to rid us of this obscene, immoral turpitude.

    1. No just a bloodbath in the Caribbean Sean where unlike terrace firma everything gets washed away, much like Trumps presidency where everything gets swept under the carpet just as the brutal murder by ICE of an innocent mother and wife.
Don’t start protecting Trump and pretend Trump has morals, quite the opposite in fact.

      1. Corrupt Gnat – I stand by… my comment. It is better than Iraq. As for ICE, tell us why ICE is in Minneapolis?

      1. JD – Two things…1. It was not on a whim 2. 100 killed versus over 600,000 killed in Iraq…which one is worse?

  4. Imperialism is first and foremost an economic system.
Capitalism and imperialism are both economic systems based on exploitation.
Karl Marx analysis of capitalism was that it is an inherently exploitative system, often described as “the exploitation of man by man”
Imperialism is something much bigger, imperialism is an economic system described as “the exploitation of nation by nation”
The super profits obtained by imperialist exploitation of ‘nation by nation’ dwart by many magnitudes any profits ever gained from simple exploitation of ‘man by man’.

    From Forbes:
These Trump Supporters, Financiers And Energy Tycoons Could Make Billions From The Venezuela Invasion
Trump backer and hedge fund billionaire Paul Singer is getting credit for his prescient $6 billion bet on oil refiner CITGO. Others set to cash in on the deal include Goldman Sachs alums, oil tycoons and private equity billionaires.

…..a Houston-based startup backed by Elliott, recently prevailed in a U.S. federal court auction to buy Venezuelan oil company Citgo, which owns three refineries in Louisiana, Texas and Illinois, plus a distribution network of 4,000 Citgo gas stations, for $5.9 billion – what many deem to be a steal…..
…..Forbes spoke with several people involved in the deal, and it turns out there are other bigtime players backing Elliot and Amber’s bid to run Citgo, on top of other hedge funds and investment firms that are poised to capture a windfall…..
….. New president of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez has said in recent months that Venezuela does not, and will not, recognize the forced sale of Citgo and is also appealing Judge Stark’s ruling. PDVSA, which already argued in court that Citgo is being sold for way too little, is saying that Venezuela should get some of the profits. That’s laughable to some of the big winners who have gone through a lot to get to this point…..

    Capitalist businessmen become imperialist warlords.

The leaders of imperialist countries like Trump and Putin, main task, is to ensure that the superprofits that come from imperialsm keep flowing to the billionaires and oligarchs like themselves.

America’s thirst for Venezuelan oil is Trump’s Orange Fascism at his worst
    By Martyn Bradbury

The link between Imperialism and Fascism is well made.
Hanna Arendt, who made the study of fascism her life’s work, described it as the ‘boomerang effect’

….In her book ‘The Origins of Totalitarianism’, Hannah Arendt argued that racism and territorial expansion – two practices inherent to imperialism – laid the foundations for European fascism. Totalitarianism in Europe was an outcome of what Arendt termed the ‘imperial boomerang’…

Portland mayor denounces shooting of two by federal agents, calls for ICE to leave city
    From CNN’s Taylor Romine
The mayor of Portland, Oregon, denounced today’s shooting of two people by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents, saying “we cannot sit by while constitutional protections erode and bloodshed mounts.”
“Portland is not a ‘training ground’ for militarized agents, and the ‘full force’ threatened by the (Trump) administration has deadly consequences,” Mayor Keith Wilson said in a statement. “As Mayor, I call on ICE to end all operations in Portland until a full investigation can be completed.”

  6. Is this the dream, trance, we are in at this present time in history?
William James describes a man who got the [enhanced] experience from laughing-gas; whenever he was under its influence, he knew the secret of the universe, but when he came to, he had forgotten it. At last, with immense effort, he wrote down the secret before the vision had faded. When completely recovered, he rushed to see what he had written. It was: “A smell of petroleum prevails throughout.”
