Fra Right Hate site, The Platform, lecturing us on being classy
There once was an SAS tanker,
who played rugby
and was the team flanker
He was sent on a raid,
By night yet not by day
and a small child was killed
for all world bankers
” Enough ! ” – he did cry !
as he watched the small child die
as he remembered
his own young ones at home
And gathering his thoughts
he was heard to retort ,
”This is not where this issue shall end ! ”
” I’ll gather my friends
and we’ll make a report ,
and tell journos and newsmen and co”
But alas did his boss
contradict the wee girls loss ,
and a chance of a life of her own
As time did wear on ,
Politicians did drone
about ‘insurgents’
that were killed on that night
And rallied around
Lieutenant Generals great throne ,
that great throne held hallowed in pride
And in thus doing so ,
ensured no one would know
that justice
for the wee girl was denied.
For the SAS us taxpayers pay
But now we certainly rue the day:
This time their revenge was wild
They blew up homes, killed a child,
and to be tortured sent a man away.
MMM difficult subject to write a limerick for!
Nicky and Jon just released their book,
“Hit and Run” you should have a look.
It’s a sorry tale, a botched raid, weapons deployed,
innocents died and homes were destroyed.
For the truth to come out, how long it took!
Appreciated poetry of sorts, but to be damned honest, the vast majority of NZers do not give a damn, they no longer care, they are moving on and focus on shopping, sports and diy.
We had this with ‘Dirty Politics’, and now we have it with ‘Hit and Run’, while this time the MSM were a bit more interested and committed, the “news” has moved off the ‘news cycle’ and is no longer reported on.
Most are consumerist, selfish indifferent people, whose interest is about THEMSELVES, and what they want and wish to buy or whatever.
They do not care, that is what I observe, they were dead victims by an SAS led attack, perhaps killed by US Apache helicopters and guns, or otherwise, but it was years ago, far away and involved no WHITE persons, not NZers, so people are not treating it as a matter of too great a concern.
Trump has his triumph in America, but we do not even need a Trump, the people who voted for Trump are not that much different to the ones who vote Nats in NZ, they look only after their interest and benefit, and despise the ones who raise issues of sorts, and Nicky Hager raised an issue, and most are not too much interested.
Sad that is, I wish it was different, but I see and observe it every day now in Auckland, just another large city, it is every one to their own, and for their own, perhaps for their close ones, but caring little for the rest, not caring for the bigger picture.
NZers have long ago lost their moral compass, most that is, under neoliberal dictate of a generation or more.
Spot on, Chris.
Maybe the International War Crimes Tribunal will investigate, sounds like a buggars muddle the whole exercise?
That’s the kicker.
If Bill English enthusiastically rejects what he sees as an attack from the Left, he will find a bigger kid, the UN, in the sandpit. Not so easy to bully the rest of the world.
But Bill always was a think-small kind of guy.
The village known as My Lai in Vietnam, was known as Son My by the Vietnamese people. The US military, despite the many terrible crimes they committed in Vietnam, never stooped to using confusion over the name of this village or its exact location to prevent a hearing, or deny that the My Lai massacre ever happened.
