If you need ANOTHER reason to vote against NZFirst – Shane Jones is now flirting with compulsory military conscription
Right wing arseholes feel very relaxed in the presence of Duncan Garner and Shane Jones most recent interview with the ‘Editor-in-Chief’ had Shane flirting with compulsory military conscription.
Jones argued that New Zealand should do more to instil discipline, resilience and service in young people, it’s part of his ‘nephews off the couch’ shtick but when youth unemployment is at 19% BECAUSE of what his Government have done to the economy is ridiculous!
He said New Zealand has become too soft and lacks resilience and argued many young people would benefit from structured service, discipline and physical training. He then suggested New Zealand should have a broader national conversation about service to the nation, potentially involving the NZ Defence Force alongside conservation, civil defence or community service
We know how corrupt NZ First are with implementing their donors interests and know that if they win the next election they will bring back the Fisheries Amendment ACT, ram through mining projects and they will push for the sale of 60% of conservation land.
We now have to add the possibility of compulsory military conscription to that ever growing list.
Why should we force our children into fighting Shane’s wars?
To be honest, part of me is giddy with excitement over the possibility of a second term with ACT, National and NZF as I think it would be a horrific train-wreck that would damage many who voted for it, but the other part of me is sickened by the possibility.
