You really have to question the double standards of political journalism in NZ.
ACT have resurrect their Thanos small Government doom plan where David Seymour snaps his fingers and makes half the functioning State disappear.
Labour got attacked for their brilliant public transport fare cap costings, yet the Deputy Prime Minister of NZ claims to amputate half of the entire state and there is zero media scrutiny.
Want cheaper public transport costs for working people in the cities and it’s the Nuremberg Trials.
Brainfart out some ideological mutilation of the State with a Libertarian revenge fantasy and it’s suddenly crickets chirping,
If we are just making up Right Wing Performance Art,
Why not build a Temple to Milton Friedman in Wellington where Jordan Williams sacrifices Federated Farmer lambs on the alter of free market capitalism as a Public Holiday only available for people worth over $5million in assets.
If we are allowing make believe ideas like cutting the state in half, why not go all in?
When it’s the Left wanting to help people, it’s wall to wall scathing analysis, when it’s the Right threatening to amputate half the state or disenfranchise 700 000 permanent resident voters, not a whisper.
The double standards at play are unbelievable.

You only need to consider the failed Kiwibuild program to know how biased most journalists are. Millions of homeowners in the country and the billions of dollars spent in the various parts of the construction industry along with most MP’s and senior public servants (?) having multiple properties means that any effort to supply cheaper houses was never going to survive. This is never mentioned in any discussion on the failure as it is generally implied that somehow it’s the Labour party’s fault that houses are expensive.
It sure doesn’t get any better – Con Artists, Double Standards, Corruption, Bribery – this CoC is a master at all of these and let’s not forget the Lies and Broken Promises! NZ Journalism is shameful – there is no fairness, just their egotistical rantings. Labour and Greens are doing their utmost to save NZ from collapsing but are being twarted every step of the way and why – because Money, Power and Greed rule! How come NZ has so many avaricious folk? Do they never feel the shame of walking all over those who work day and night just to make ends meet and still struggle because their basic pay rates are so low! Seymour, like Luxon, is so out of touch while Winston is playing a sick game with people’s livelihoods that will only benefit Winston. You reap what you sow! The day of reckoning is approaching fast.
Perhaps it is some kind of religious masochistic instinct that says if bad things happen to us we deserve it but if good things happen we are sinners if we enjoy them because we don’t deserve them.
