The ACT Party’s new welfare policy shows a lack of compassion for people who need help, says a beneficiary advocate.
ACT wants to tighten up the medical certification for health-related benefits, making it mandatory for them to be issued by MSD-approved designated doctors.
It also wants to reassess people on the benefits in a phased approach, starting with mental-health related grants issued after the pandemic.

MSD will incentivise finding ways of getting sick beneficiaries off welfare, just like they were busted doing with emergency housing.
This isn’t about making the lives of sick beneficiaries easier, this is about creating a state of fear using AI tools to immediately disqualify and then make it difficult to re-instate.
ACT are dropping in the Polls and they are increasingly worried as Winston’s brand of intolerance appeals more, hence the bashing of sick beneficiaries.
To bash the most vulnerable for political capital is so obscene.

Winston and Shane First have shown how cruel they are in supporting legislation that deliberately causes harm and misery for many in our communities.
As long as MFAT remains untouched NZF will vote for these kind of measures if their donors ask them to.

This government if returned in its current form will move to make Seymour’s vision a reality and have shown already how far they will go with cuts to the public service.

ACT dream nostalgicly of the good old days with Victorian labour laws and social policy. The days before unions, before minimum wages, before work safety standards and before paid public holidays.
All of these they would abolish if they could.
They are not a political party, they are a disease and the best cure is to give them the boot put of our parliament.
If this was the only good thing that happened at the coming election it would still be satisfying.

MSD is already doing this to people on jOBSEEKER MEDICAL and the likes.
Their dedicated doctors do winz’s bidding and have done so for decades.
ACT’s narcissistic, bullying, pompous Seymour does not have the necessary life skills he needs. He is incapable of thinking like a normal human-being, and has not a skerreck of empathy or compassion for those who never stop struggling to make ends meet! He, and Luxon simply don’t want to see, or acknowledge, that the miserable pay rates for our workers are now so low that a 40 hour week would never keep a couple, let alone a family! The Greedies have hoovered up all the spoils for themselves and are living the life of Riley. Until the vindictive Seymour grasps this uneven factor he hasn’t a chance of being taken seriously by fair minded Kiwis, hence his low polling rates. His party has not done anything significant for NZ this past two years His spite and vengeance know no ends! Let’s not forget these stuff-ups: *School lunches; *Pay Equity Reform; *Treaty Principles Bill; *Regulatory Standards Bill; *Charter Schools; etc. and now he’s attacking Health related benefits. And every time he gets it wrong, he just sweeps it under the carpet and moves on to his next failure! So of course he and his motley party are irrelevant small fry. May they go below the 5% and cease to exist. I’m sure Atlas will have a cushy job for him, hopefully as far away as possible!
