Can we all just remind everyone as the Super El Nino bears down upon us, that a Senior Policy Analyst took secret advice from Big Polluters involved in a legal case to kill it and replace it with policy that was almost word for word the same as the secret lobbying.
Fonterra legal case doc sent to private email of Luxon’s former staffer
A document relating to the Smith v Fonterra legal case was sent from a Fonterra staff member to the private email address of a former staffer in the Prime Minister’s Office.
So now we know there was an active campaign to hide what the 7 Big Polluters wanted and how they were secretly advising the Government on how to avoid Mike Smiths legal challenge.
We also know the Senior Policy Analyst involved was a former NZ Initiative Researcher, the NZ Initiative is the right wing think tank that works with Atlas Network and three of the seven big polluters are connected to the NZ Initiative…
…so you have a secret pollution agenda and right wing think tanks colluding to hide their influence and yet Kiwis still prefer to side with these arseholes?
Could you imagine if it was the Left who was doing this?
Could you imagine what the Taxpayers’ Union would be screaming?
This corruption is made hilarious because the planet is burning thanks to climate change, the very climate change these 7 big polluters are causing.
Kiwis remain sitting on their hands.
Look at what happened with the changes to law that will allow corporations to get away with pollution spills.
Minister for Pork Barrels, Matua Shane Jones pushed through new rules last week that will allow oil companies to get away with not paying for their pollution spills???
Say it ain’t so!
Five years after taxpayers got left with a $300 million clean-up bill for the abandoned Tui oilfield, Matua Shane Jones weakened the rules put in place to prevent Kiwis being left to foot the pollution clean up bills again.

If an oil company who has made enormous profits from pumping our oil causes environmental damage – THEY SHOULD PAY TO CLEAN IT UP!

Oil, gas and gold miners ought to be paying a 25% royalty in the first place not 2%. At least then if the company did shoot through there would be banked money to pay for the clean up.
The gift of nature is for everyone and the voters ought to demand the same kind of profit from their natural resources as the company shareholders expect from their capital.
