  1. Given that it’s ACT I’m surprised the uniforms wouldn’t be made from burlap and recycled sillage wrap.

  2. The catwalk pics are good.
To be honest I’m more concerned about lunches than uniforms. Some uniformity in terms of socks, pants, skirts etc. would be ok. Diff t-shirts and jumpers to show which school, is all that’s needed.

I don’t really see prices dropping much. It’s not very ACT-like to decree that a company can’t make as much money as possible.

Leafy suburb schools won’t like being dictated to by their dear leader on this. They love their long tartan skirts and would hate to go back to short skirts that everyone can afford.

  3. Does the Labour Party have anything to say about the absurd cost of school uniforms?

    1. @ P.P 11. Good question. Labour Party? Yes you. We pay Labour politicians six figures plus entitlements and expenses to have answers. What’s your answer to Pope Punctilious II’s question?
In fact, while you’re stammering and mumbling while shuffling paper/ clicking keys and firing up the shredder what’s your views on roger douglas? A two term Labour finance minister from back in the distant day. You may be familiar with it? He was talking here not that long ago.

All blah and no action, as usual.
Go for it! We’re all ears and eyes. “………………………………………………………………………..”

    2. Probably not. As I’ve said many times, they are a disappointment in many respects. But they aren’t cruel and vindictive.

  4. act are dead….plunging in the polls…it’s like act who?

How ironic that the multimillionaires and billionaires…who are supposed to be so ‘clever’ and protective of their ill gotten gains …are quite willing to flush it down the toilets and into the sewers of the act party.

What a lineup….the party of weirdos.

Lead by a little twerp who phones up the media every 5 minutes to make some inane announcement…or dissrespectfully, and with childish attention seeking behaviour, tries to drive a Landrover up the steps of Parliament…clearly suffering from small man syndrome …

But demonstrating …with consummate ease… that he couldn’t organise a pissup in a brewery with his disastrous, spiteful, messing around with, what was, a successful school lunch programme.

If he was working in the real world he would have been fired immediately for utter incompetence and overselling his ability….which in turn…is why he has ended up in the act party to try and make a living….weirdo

Their ex manager…a sex pervert..now in jail…who was obsessed with rubbing his genitals around young teenage boys bottoms….weirdo.

Unsurprisingly Seymour tried to fobb off the complaintants….

Lest we forget their disgusting attack on the Maori whose ancestors spent 500 years living harshly in this country before being conned by the British, but, nevertheless, signed a binding contract…The Treaty of Waitangi,
that…of course…. the little twerp now wants the country to renege on.

People shouldn’t be surprised by this behaviour….act have always been full of simple basic weirdo monkies ..but it was National who allowed the monkies out of the cage with their shared crooked dealings…and for that reason alone ..should be voted out !

  5. Act are hypocrites they got rid of womens pay equity now trying to make out they care about families when mums can’t get a decent wage. Vote these creeps out.

    1. In NZ the male unemployment rate is 5.4% and the female unemployment rate is 5.3% if employers were paying women less than men the female unemployment rate would be substantially lower than the male unemployment rate. The ‘wages gap’ would show in an unemployment gap.

      1. The whole “gender pay gap” thing is a beat-up. Men and women *on average* have different priorities and so make different choices, that’s all. In my workplace (a university), 75 % of technical staff are women, versus 40 % of academic staff. There’s your gender pay gap. Women are NOT paid less than men for doing the same job, they’re just typically in lower-paid roles.
