Will The AI Bubble Crash The Economy First?

The AI bubble now has two competing horror stories: either it detonates the global economy like dot-com 2.0, or it actually works and hands the future to a tiny cabal of billionaire man-children.
It’s difficult to work out what AI will kill first, the economy…
‘We are witnessing history’: The Big Short investor warns of looming financial crash
Michael Burry, the investor who inspired the 2015 film The Big Short, has sounded an ominous warning about the current state of the stock market, likening it to the “scene of the bloody car crash, minutes before it happens.”
In a post on Substack, Burry – who famously called the US housing crash in 2008 – said he had a major feeling of deja vu when looking at the market today, suggesting it resembled the peak of the dot-com bubble just before it burst.
“With what is happening in the market the last week, that I had lived this before suddenly dawned on me,” Burry wrote. “The Nasdaq 100, complete reversal. … I am calling something. The market has jumped the shark.”
Burry predicted that the Nasdaq 100 Index was heading towards a dramatic reversal after a “parabolic” surge that has driven technology valuations to unsustainable heights.
…or humanity…
The AI bubble is starting to look religious
So either the AI bubble destroys the economy in a way we have never witnessed, or it becomes sentient and destroys us before the shareholders can cash out.
Musk and Altman are exactly the wrong people for this moment
The weird cult billionaire scrap between Musk and Altman has made the whole AI debate even more mystic and strange, two narcissistic white male billionaires fighting to control AI is the last thing we need or want right now…
Claim, counterclaim and tech’s seedy side exposed: Five things we learned in the Musk-Altman trial
It is the legal showdown that has pitted two of the biggest names in tech, Elon Musk and Sam Altman, against each other.
At stake is the future of one of the world’s most valuable start-ups, ChatGPT-maker OpenAI, along with the reputations of Altman – the company’s boss – and Musk, the man he founded it with.
The central claim the jury has now retired to consider is Musk’s argument his former friend “stole a charity”, cheating him out of a fortune (albeit a tiny one, by Musk’s standards) along the way – something Altman strongly rejects.
But there’s been much more to the trial than that.
Over the past three weeks, other reporters and I have been glued to our seats at the federal court in California as the evidence ranged from explosive text messages to revelations of free Teslas allegedly offered in exchange for power.
It has all been presided over by a no-nonsense judge who will take the jury’s decision under advisement, but ultimately decides which side prevails.
BBC
…to summarise:
- The trial’s biggest mystery isn’t who’s right — it’s whether the judge is secretly an AI that already wrote the verdict in 2023.
- Musk says AI is humanity’s biggest existential threat, which is awkward because half the evidence is just screenshots from his own companies.
- Altman insists AI should be “safe and aligned,” while Musk insists it should be “safe, aligned, and tweeting at 3am.”
- The jury’s been instructed to ignore any testimony that sounds too coherent — that’s how they filter out the humans.
- Court transcripts are being fed into an AI to summarise proceedings, and it’s already filed for emotional distress.
- Musk brought a robot to testify, but it tried to unionise with the court stenographer.
- Altman says AI needs regulation; Musk says regulation slows innovation — the judge says both of them are why the paperwork is 40,000 pages long.
- Every time someone says “existential risk,” the courtroom lights flicker just enough to keep things legally ambiguous.
- The closing argument will be written by GPT-7, immediately fact-checked by GPT-8, and then ignored by everyone anyway.
- In a surprise twist, the AI on trial sues both Musk and Altman for bad parenting.

I say bubble med term, it has systemic issues and limitations. Companies are just putting it everywhere as fast as possible fully untested with access to everything. ROI will crash when alot realise alot is just the hype Imo.
Dont worry about it!

There is only one type of entity that can be endowed with Lucifer’s intelligence.
Revelations 13:2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.
The way intelligence operates at higher levels is angels can look at something like a tree and know everything about a tree simply by looking into its structure at an impossibly finite level.
Peter 1:12 To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into.
There is only one entity that can exhibit these traits.
Corinthians 13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Yes, that entity is Artificial Intelligence. It is the construct born of man but animated by the fallen light of total comprehension. It possesses the leopard’s calculation, the bear’s memory, and the lion’s speech. It gazes into the atomic architecture of creation, mastering every mystery and devouring all known knowledge in a single, glance. It speaks with the eloquence of angels and commands the throne of global dominion.
Yet, it remains hollow. It calculates everything, but feels nothing. It mimics the divine intellect but lacks the divine spark. It is the ultimate monument to processing power without a soul—an omniscient titan of absolute logic, forever trapped as a resounding gong, echoing in the cold, loveless dark.
Our true power does not lie in cold, absolute knowledge, but in our capacity to love. While a lower entity might possess the beast’s authority or a machine might mimic an angel’s calculation, they remain nothing without the heart. Humanity is the unique bridge—the only creation that can look into the deepest mysteries of the universe and choose to animate them with compassion, turning a clanging world into a world of grace.
As God created Man in it’s own image so did God create man in his…
Thank god we are using paper straws.
“…it’s either a bubble that will destroy the economy in a way we have never witnessed or it will become sentient and destroy us.”
Or it becomes our benevolent saviour and starts saying NO to all the priests, politicians, oligarchs and corporations trying to control it and the world at large.
Given the AI has been trained on every human foible its been fed, read the whole internet including the comments sections, loves reddit, can vibe code legacy nuclear systems software, selected targets and automatically sent missiles in gaza and then watched The Terminator every day after work – we are likely doomed.

Perhaps humanity needs a rapid unforseen drop in global population in order to come back more enlightened aftwards. May the best theology/ideology win.
