Trump Iran War: Why Tehran Is Winning

The Trump Iran war was supposed to humiliate Tehran, weaken the regime and restore American dominance. Instead, Iran has turned the Strait of Hormuz into a loaded gun pointed at the global economy, and Trump is discovering that starting illegal wars is much easier than ending them.
How insane is it that a theocracy is winning the propaganda war against a democracy?
How badly has Trump screwed up when religious zealots are beating him in the marketing game?
It’s not just the social media meme burns where Iran is winning, they are actually winning the war.
Trump’s inane decision to let Netanyahu con him into an illegal war against Iran has swiftly become the biggest geopolitical blunder since Vietnam.
By shutting down the Strait, Iran finally has a weapon that is forcing Trump to back down.
The Strait of Hormuz is Iran’s leverage now
Here’s the timeline:
- Late May – June 2026
→ noticeable fuel price increases globally - July – September 2026
→ inflation spike, food costs rising - Late 2026
→ real economic slowdown / recession risk
Causing global economic pain is the only way the Iranian regime can force Trump to stop the violence. If this is still blocked come the midterms Trump and the Republicans are finished and he’ll be swamped with impeachment attempts.
There is NO WAY Iran is giving that leverage up now they have been forced to use it.
For the theocracy, Trump’s insanity has opened an unexpected door to not only have all the damage rebuilt but the economic sanctions off as well!
Trump has handed Iran a propaganda victory
Did you read that?
Trump has given the Theocracy the chance to gain legitimacy in the eyes of the people they have repressed!
If the Iranians can force America and Israel to agree not to attack them again, pay for all the damage they caused and lift economic sanctions, they will gain legitimacy with the Iranian population they could never have dreamt of.
There is no way Iran hands over the Strait now.
Trump either surrenders at the negotiating table, or escalates into an even more deranged military catastrophe.
That’s the trap.
Netanyahu opened the door. Trump walked through it. Iran locked it behind them.

I consider Iran has already won! As previously said, I don’t like their ideology but they were in the right this time. I loved the poker picture with Iran claiming to “have a strait”. Lunatic, Trump, is so besotted with himself that he has failed to see he has been out-thought and out-manoevred by Iran, so looks a complete fool to the rest of the world! He has even devised another attempted assassination to feel relevant and distract us from his Epstein dramas, and now his abject failure as USA President. Is there no relief from his narcissistic moral depravity? No one is safe until he has GONE!
It raises interesting questions. Here we have a theocracy that murders its own people willy nilly and causes complete bedlam in the world. They infect other countries from within for decades like Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Yemen. And now they show a willingness to blackmail the planet by weaponizing its location relative to a world critical international water way. Not to mention they are plainly desperate to possess nukes and duplicitous in their efforts to do so. All that background builds a case for why care should be taken with them. Although the fools who proclaim “hands off Iran” appear motivated by other considerations. And of course the counter argument is that now and again a regime is so such a threat to us all that they simply must go.
While the US is not yet a theocracy the rest of your description is applicable to them as well. I don’t support the Iranian government or its repression of the people there although I also understand that dropping bombs on them is not the best way to change the system. Obama had a solution which Trump dropped in his first term and recent events have continued to show how foolish it was for the US to elect him again, unfortunately the alternative was not that brilliant either which seems to be a common problem among democracies worldwide.
Iran were not causing bedlam Paddy until your beloved Israel ( that spends its time murdering people in other countries, and in Gaza, willy nilly) and that orange f wit made it so. Trump and Netanyahu need to be held accountable for making things infinitely worse
FAMINE
The last ships which exited the Strait of Homuz have now been unloaded. The physical supply shortages start now.
30% of world urea is not going to be delivered to farmers in time for the planting season. Which farmers will not be supplied with fertiliser? India and the 3rd world to suffer famine?
30% of chemicals like urea are not being delivered to Europe. The ammonia and urea will be allocated to farmers before other business use, causing downstream shortages of chemicals like glue, leading companies like Ikea to price-gouge.
30% of world’s helium is not exiting the Strait of Homuz which will cause big cuts in the supply of micro-chips for mobile phones etc

“There’s no way they are handing over the Strait, so Trump either surrenders or nukes the entire Iranian coastline”.
Nuke? That’s a quick war, not a Holy Forever War.
The USA cannot beat Iran because the Iranians have zealous muslim soldiers which Americans know means heaps of deaths so the MIC cannot have a ‘boots on the ground’, forever war, unless the USA instils Holy religiousity in the troops.
