Covid Inquiry Phase 2 tells us what we all knew but some are too bitter to admit
The mainstream media response to the Covid Inquiry Phase 2 paints the response out as hyper critical of Labour’s leadership of Covid.
That is misinformation at its worst and actually spits in the face of our collective sacrifice during Covid.
The report actually finds that collectively we did an amazing bloody job over Covid…
“Overall, this report concludes that Aotearoa New Zealand did well in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic. On the whole, the decisions taken and methods used during the Covid-19 response were considered and appropriate”
…and yet the corporate media coverage is the end of the world with Billions ‘missing’.
We decided to work together for the well being of our public health and our nation over profit margins and that is why the Political Right must salt the earth by demonising Jacinda.
The Death Cult Capitalists will never forgive her for putting your lives before their profits and so the corporate media spin the way their masters demand!
NZ’s Government decided that to simply be open with our people over the reality of the situation and to collectively work together was the best course of action.
In China they welded doors shut, in NZ we had a 1pm briefing and everyone was paid to stay home.
We had some of the the lowest death rates, we had some of the least restrictions and we came out of Covid better than almost anyone else on the planet.
For those results, Jacinda has been damned by a small but violent minority and she has to live in Australia because it isn;t safe to do so here.
Her actions saved 20 000, but they were mostly Boomers who all voted for Winston, so no good deed goes unpunished.
Was the Auckland lockdown too long? The Report says ‘Yes’, by 4 days!
Was there a lack of communication over rare Vaccine reactions for under 18 year olds. The Report says yes.
But the Report also said that…

…it was a once in a. century pandemic with a novel virus. Labour led with mana and dignity.
This revisionist spin job to match the bitterness of a vocal minority on social media is beneath us and the sacrifice we collectively made here.
In terms of the claim of overspending…
…exactly. Labour propped the system up until it could run again!
Labour won the Covid War but lost the Covid Peace because all Incremental Labour wanted to do was build back to the existing inequalities and after our collective sacrifice, GST off fruit and Vegetables felt like a kick in the balls.
We should not allow corporate media to re-write a revisionist history of our own experience!
We worked together and we produced some of the best public health and economic results, the interests that own our media don’t want you ever thinking that again!
