WAATEA NEWS COLUMN: Revisiting the racist double standards of the Manurewa Marae allegations
Well, well, well, what do we have here?
“Police find ‘insufficient evidence’ to prove corruption at Manurewa Marae”.
What a surprise.
People wanted to believe John Tamihere was corrupt, they wanted to believe t Pati Māori was corrupt and they wanted their own indignation made them morally superior.
None of those things were true!
The issues arouse because the Government Agencies desperate for community outreach (that they had underfunded and undermined) wasn’t enough and they turned repeatedly to Māori organisations across multiple agencies for that outreach.
Framing JT and the Māori Party as corrupt was more important than admitting Government Agencies had failed abysmally at having any Community outreach.
I was very vocal at the start of these Manurewa Marae allegations that they were a racist double standard to distract from the real corruption at the top table of this Government!
I argued that Luxon weaponised the public service against Māori Party to create a brown-screen while criticism was attacking his deeply contentious Fast Track Powers.
Andrea Vance staked her credibility on leaks from Destiny Church members, which I always thought was pretty bold. If you are going to stake your career on ‘evidence’ from people who think painting over rainbow pedestrian crosses and beating librarians at Drag Story Time is legitimate protest, then good luck to you.
The Prime Minister called for this inquiry after Destiny Church allegations to deflect from the real corruption his Government had embarked upon with their Fast Track programme, and as the final investigation clears the Māori Party of the serious wrong doing they were accused of, where is the Prime Minister with his apology?
Disconnected Māori Whānau getting a KFC voucher they didn’t ‘deserve’ wasn’t ever Corruption, what the most powerful were doing at the top table was corruption and the mainstream media let them get away with it!
Funny how the rightwing moan and groan about the MSM when it doesn’t suite their narrative and praise or remain silent when it does hypocrisy really it would be interesting to see what comes out of the Eru mum saga enquiry who I find a little narcissist fame hopping prick
The mainstream media are now up the current governments backsides they have no bite, they aim to please and I see this with Jack Tame he has been tamed as his interviews aren’t the same there is no sting. But that is what this CoC government have created they don’t want people they pay from the public tit analyzing or criticizing them. We have a very authoritative government who think they know bests.
If they had found any thing of interest there would have been mass arrests in dawn raids by the armed offenders squad and trial by media .The three fuckwits of the COC would be salivating and the ferret would be ranting away with his glasses all steamed up .Luxon would be claiming a Nobel prize for fucking over the pesky Maori .
