52 more killed and 262 wounded

Since dawn, Israeli air strikes, missile launches and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, have resulted in 52 dead and 262 wounded. Civil Defence crews retrieved 3 more bodies from underneath bomb-damaged property, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 57,575. The total wounded is now at least 136,879. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 89 and, that of those injured, is more than 213. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

The current volume and pace of deliveries remain critically insufficient to meet the needs of Gaza’s entire population, who are facing deteriorating high levels of acute food insecurity. Consistent, frequent, large-scale deliveries through multiple crossings are urgently required to meet needs and stabilise availability, pricing, and affordability of wheat flour and other basic staples as well as reduce tensions and rebuild trust within communities. All UN-supported bakeries remain closed.

The lack of fuel is severely constraining the ability of partners to sustain operations, including cargo collection, distributions, and kitchen operations.

Attacks on people attempting to collect food supplies along humanitarian aid convoy routes or from militarised distribution sites continue to be reported, resulting in mass casualties. According to the Ministry of Health (MoH) in Gaza, since 27 May and as of 7 July, casualties among people trying to access food supplies have increased to 758 fatalities and more than 5,005 injuries.

Hospitals are under severe strain, facing critical shortages of fuel, medicines, and medical supplies, as well as blood and blood products. Overwhelmed by the surge in trauma cases, emergency departments at hospitals and field hospitals are full and the bed occupancy rate has surpassed 100 per cent, with some facilities forced to convert standard inpatient units into makeshift Intensive Care Units (ICUs), often without adequate Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) measures. This has forced many patients to stay in emergency departments while waiting for inpatient beds or becoming stuck in operating theatres due to the lack of post-operative care capacity. Read more:

West Bank

Since midnight on 7 October 2023, Israeli Occupation forces are continuing to impose almost complete closure over the West Bank, preventing access to Jerusalem and Israel, with exception available to diplomatic and international missions as well as occasional humanitarian need cases.

Israeli Army attack – refugee camp: Jenin – Since 12:20 on 28 January, Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, continue their day and night storming of the city as well as the refugeecamp.

Israeli Army attack: Tubas – 21:45–23:00, Israeli forces, firing live ammunition, stormed and patrolled the village of Tayasir.

Israeli Army attack – homes demolished – 2 taken prisoner – refugee camps: Tulkarem – Israeli Occupation forces continued to storm the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, opening fire towards people, searching and occupying homes and taking prisoner two residents. They also began demolishing 104 apartment buildings and houses in the Tulkarem refugee camp.

Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded: Nablus – 21:55–04:50, one person was wounded as Israeli forces, escorting settlers and firing live ammunition, stormed the city.

Home invasions and demolition: Jerusalem – evening, Israeli Occupation forces demolished two Bedouin homes, in the east of al-Eizariya.

Home invasion: Jerusalem – 03:00, Israeli forces raided al-Ram and searched a house.

Home invasion – terror–driven evacuation: Ramallah – 90 people, belonging to 15 Bedouin community families in the Khan al-Ahmar area, were forced to leave their homes by terrorist settlers, supported by the Israeli Army.

Home invasion: Ramallah – 08:00, Israeli troops demolished a house, in the village of Kharbatha al-Misbah.

Home invasion – terror–driven evacuation by Israeli Army: Tulkarem – 16:15–00:30, the Israeli Army raided the town of Zeita, occupied a house and turned it into a military post, after forcing its residents to evacuate at gunpoint. Israeli troops also raided and searched a number of homes, taking prisoner three residents.

Home invasion: Tulkarem – 22:25, Israeli troops raided the town of Bal’a and searched a home.

Home invasions: Nablus – 23:15–02:30, the Israeli military raided the town of Jama’in and searched a number of houses.

Home invasions: Bethlehem – evening, Israeli soldiers raided the village of Jouret al-Shama’a and invaded a number of homes.

Israeli Army assault on water supply as well as agricultural sabotage: Jerusalem – evening, Israeli Occupation forces destroyed approximately 50 Bedouin families’ water-storage tanks, in the east of al-Eizariya, needed in the absence of infrastructure service and scarcity of water sources. Israeli forces also bulldozed local fruit trees.

Israeli police and settlers’ mosque violation: Jerusalem – 08:00, Israeli settlers, escorted by Occupation police, invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and molested worshippers.

Israeli Army population–control: Tubas – Israeli forces began building a military road in the Khirbet Ibziq area, east of the city, ordering people not to enter their property close by.

Israeli Army population–control: Hebron – 12:00, Israeli forces took prisoner a man, Wijdan Rizq Odeh Masalma, when he reported, as ordered, for interrogation at Israeli Military Intelligence.

Occupation settler violence and injury: Jerusalem – 17:10, an Israeli settler beat–up and severely injured a working bus driver: Munir Al-Batal.

Occupation settler terrorism: Ramallah – 22:05, Occupation settlers invaded agricultural land on the outskirts of Turmusaya and gathered menacingly, near the home of Abdullah Awad.

Occupation settler intrusion: Tulkarem – 19:20, Israeli settlers set up camp, near the Shufa checkpoint.

Occupation settler agricultural sabotage and population–control: Qalqiliya – Israelis, from the Kedumim Occupation settlement, blocked an agricultural road, preventing farmers from reaching their lands.

Occupation settler terrorism with Israeli Army complicity: Jericho – 50 Bedouin families, from the Arab Al-Maliha community, north-west of Jericho, were forced to evacuate their homes, due to assaults and threats by settlers, with the support of Occupation forces aimed at establishing complete control of the area.

Occupation settler terrorism and pastoral sabotage: Bethlehem – evening, armed Occupation settlers, in the Khalayel al-Qasr area, east of the village of al-Minya, terrorised a number of shepherds and forced them off, at gunpoint, frompastureland.
