77 killed — 275 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes and gunfire on homes as well as medical and other facilities resulted in the death of 77 residents and woundsing of 275. Civil Defence crews retrieved seven more bodies from under bomb-damaged buildings, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 52,495, with the total wounded at least 118,366. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza since 7 October, 2023 is at least 91 and, that of those injured, is more than 206. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attacks – refugee camp: Jenin – Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, continue to storm the city as well ass the refugee camp.
Israeli Army attacks – refugee camp residents forced to abandon their homes: Tulkarem – Israeli forces, firing live ammunition, continued to storm the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, wounding a woman journalist, Ruwa Arafat Yousef Dridi, and severely beating-up a resident. The Israeli Army also invaded homes in the Nur Shams and Tulkarem refugee camps, detaining around 50 families and forcing them to evacuate their homes, along with their belongings. The families were then told to leave but were forced to go without their belongings, which the Israeli forces then seized. Another news reporter, Fadi Abdel Rahim Ibrahim Yassin, was also taken prisoner during the storming.
Israeli settler attack: Bethlehem – 14:20, an armed Occupation settler, in Wadi Fukin village, threateningly opened fire close to a resident.
Israeli settler attack: Hebron – 19:50, armed Israeli settlers invaded the Jabal al-Abed area in al-Tabaqa village, assaulting two residents in a motor vehicle.
Home invasion: Salfit – 21:15–22:00, Israeli Occupation forces invaded a home, while raiding the towns of Bruqin and Kafr al-Dik.
Israeli Army assault – child terrorised and beaten-up: Qalqiliya – 16:40, Israeli Occupation forces terrorised a 15-year-old boy, Walid Muhammad Walid Radwan, near his home in the town of Azzun. Walid was stripped and beaten severely while handcuffed.
Israeli Army assaults – 2 beaten-up: Jericho – 23:05, Israeli forces beat–up two residents, Zakaria Bani Jamea and Abdul Jaser Najum, in the town of al-Auja.
Occupation settler violence – agricultural sabotage: Ramallah – 11:00-13:00, Israeli Occupation settlers invaded agricultural land, north of the village of Kharbatha Bani Harith, and assaulted farmers and workers.
Occupation settler terrorism: Tubas – Israeli settlers, riding motorcycles, invaded the areas of al-Bureij, al-Miteh and al-Malih in the North Jordan Valley, patrolling threateningly between people’shomes.
Occupation settler stoning: Nablus – 12:20-14:00, Israelis, from the Yitzhar Occupation settlement, stoned passing vehicles on the bypass road to their settlement.
Occupation settler and Israeli Army terrorism: Nablus – 17:25, Occupation settlers, accompanied by Israeli forces, invaded the village of Iraq Burin and threateningly roamed it.
Occupation settler terrorism – stun grenades: Nablus – 21:50, a security guard, from the Yitzhar Occupation settlement, entered the village of Asira al-Qibliya and launched stun grenadesbetween the villagers’ homes.
Occupation settler population–control: Salfit – 16:35–18:15, an Israeli settler closed the gated western entrance to the town of Bruqin.
Occupation settler land-grab: Hebron – 11:30, a group of settlers, from the Karmiel settlement, east of Yatta, fenced-off land on the eastern side of Umm al-Khair village and installed a mobile home, while denying access to the villagers.
Occupation settler road–rage – injury: Hebron – 17:05, an Israeli settler drove his motor vehicle into, and injured, Muhannad Yousef Muhammad Abu Rajab, at the Zif village road junction.
