  1. Would you expect anything less from two vile individuals? Louise Upston would probably have delivered jumper cables to the Lake Alice facility if it was something you could volunteer for.

  2. Why would this government want to downplay expectations regarding this issue. Money. Money, money, money. Apologies are easy. Unless you are Jargose, who played such an active role re-traumatizing people seeking closure. But compensation, for 250,000 people. Who gets what based on the myriad shades of abuse? What’s it all going to cost and will we have to give up a nice looking 4 lane highway to pay for it? No wonder they want to lower expectations and kick this stone as far down the road as they possibly can.

  3. Well Collins has to cover her arse because she has led the coverup for years and Upston is just plain fucken mean and entitled .This government is over run with disgusting self centered people who have no empathy for any thing other than their bank balance .

  4. Judith Collins has a track record of going to extreme lengths to deny various victims redress or compensation from the Crown.

  5. I’m sure if someone tied down Judith, Una, and Louise, and subjected them to the extreme pain of electrocution – they would certainly want justice. They would want a proper investigation. And for the perpetrators to be held responsible for their actions.
Or can they only see state abuse when it happens to Chinese Uyghurs, but not when it happens to their own New Zealander’s. Or when the perpetrators are nasty people like the Jaz brothers from Mama Hooch, and not state personnel.
Have any of the abused written to any pollies asking for justice, because it could be insightful if you included those letters on your website, before they get forgotten.
And when is Mark Mitchell going to say something about the way Police have yoyoed between doing nothing and do something but being to late to do anything particularly useful, or identifying the Police who turned a blind eye. Mark Mitchell has been conspicuously silent, not even mentioning the strong correlation between abuse in care and later gang involvement. If he is truly wanting to address the causes, then this one is staring him in the face.
