  1. Oh Mike you have been through a lot.
I have researched the history of attempts to break the siege by sea. So many heroes from many countries. You took part in an ongoing humanitarian movement.
There is so much that could be said. I’ll just point out that the medical equipment , mostly gauzes and sutures have been stolen and kept by Israel. Gazan hospitals have reached breaking point.
I’ve read Dr Ang’s report about the violence inflicted on you. Why were the Israels so violent? Because they knew they could get away with it. They knew that the NZ Government . along with other ‘free world’ Governments would be too timid to complain.
ps There has been talk on the radio today about cancer treatment and access to needing medicines. In Gaza, cancer victims are left to suffer and die. Israel will not allow cancer victims to travel to where they could be helped

  2. Mate i sympathize i really do, with you and the Palestinians cause, BUT you sailed into a war zone with a motley crew and a few unarmed boats
WTF did you expect would happen?
Next time try a 100 small boats and a warship, those fukers only understand force and it better be a great big warship, you are basically taking on America when you take on Israel, they dont give a rats arse what the rest of us think, bad publicity aint gonna do shit against those genocidal maniacs, right now they (the Jews) are claiming to have found the scared red calf, whose sacrifice denotes the rebuilding of the Third temple. What shit is about to happen no one can change, so welcome home, lest your alive, tell yer Palestinian mates to follow the old Maori recipe of warfare, bigger the gun they got, deeper the bunker you need.

  3. Why bother reading these ramblings? Put it this way .. if you jump off a building, expect to hit the ground. Why write a letter decrying gravity after the fact?

    1. Whats the fact Zack ….. that Israel is a rouge nation who think they are above international law …. like their big brother ….the usa

As Mike clearly wrote and which your rambling mind seems unable to grasp …. “We repeatedly informed them that we had no intention of entering Israeli waters and the Israeli Navy had no right to interfere with our freedom of navigation under exercising our right of innocent passage in international waters under international customary law. ”

” Charlie tried explaining international law and the right of passage to the people getting ready to attack us, but to no avail. ”

Pirates …. thieves …. and international criminals.

NZ should boot out their Embassy …. they’ve snuck back in … after their hissy fit at us https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/dec/24/israeli-ambassador-to-new-zealand-recalled-in-protest-at-un-vote-role

    2. So you don’t respect international law in open international wsters, Zack? Is that where you’re coming from? Every time Isrsel commits acts of piracy on the high seas, they create more resentment and more enemies. If “might is right” is their starting point, they shouldn’t be surprised when force is used against them. Its only a matter of time.

  4. Excellent reporting Mike!! Every time someone exposes the thuggish militarism of the zionists, its chipping away at the whole rotten structure of Israeli imperialism.
Palestine will be free. Israel is simply delaying the day of reckoning.

Good on you for your brave efforts, and to your fellow crew.

  5. What a bunch of emotive drivel. I’m not going to pick the entire article apart, but here’s one example:

“Israel imposes random arbitrary limits on how far boats can go out to sea – 3, 6 or 12 nautical miles.”

12 nautical miles is the internationally agreed limit of territorial waters. 6 is half of 12. 3 is half of 6.

This is the opposite of random and arbitrary.
