If not Pay Parity – why not freeze mens wages until women catch up?

Look, if National, ACT and NZF are prepared to destroy working women’s aspirations and destroy their pay equity claims so they can afford tobacco subsidies, more military, tax cuts and landlord loopholes, then surely the solution to the pay equity issue, is simply freeze all mens wages until women’s wages catch up?

Men would be happy for that right?

If we aren’t going to actively support workers in industry that had always been demeaned as ‘women’s work’, and here is a list of those workers…

…if we aren’t going to actively counter that historic sexism, then simply freeze all mens wages until women’s wages catch up.

    • What disingenuous bullshit Ada. The EMA have openly acknowledged there are genuine claims that have nothing to do with the misrepresentations you pedal.

  2. You could bring engineers wages into line with librarians, and see what happens, but I’m pretty sure you’d only boost Australia’s economy.

    • It’s being done now as record numbers leave because of this government so your example is pathetic ratty.
