The deputy editor of Newsweek came on to talk to Jesse Mulligan on RNZ National afternoons about her new book. Her main thing was division between uni educated and others in the USA was the main one v. Dems and Reps. Apparently according to her research the non-unies want meaningful work well paid rather than the Dem’s ‘charity’. Male Hispanics and Blacks are coming over to Trump on that basis — the numbers can’t be denied. If that’s all true, that’s the real culture war there, the Dem’s freemarket thing and openish immigration, the main thing.
