Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. Labour, the party the left can count on to let them down

Te Pāti Māori’s amendment bill proposing the removal of GST from all food products and non-alcoholic beverages was shot down after being opposed by Act, NZ First, National and Labour.

    • Too hard to co-ordinate with supermarkets full of alcoholic beverages – the gummint does so well out of that, so we can’t introduce hemp which would be a great new crop with lots of advantages and less policing required, which is very expensive for us. Sorry cops you won’t be able to swan around in helicopters, and set people up for criminality on spurious grounds of harm to the polity.

We already view with displeasure the disastrous theft of NZ/AO’s heart and strength by the Half-Men of Oh-Dear running us through giant management corpses. And buying up all our goodies – we have gambled our substance away under the aegis of efficiency which the pollies have used as a feint to confuse while the heist was on.

  3. A very good exposure of the rotteness in the British Labour Party.

The final take-away warning from Owen Jones is that a swerve to the Right by the British Labour Party the disillusionment, disappointment and cynicism it engenders in many people, will create an opening for the Far Right

Owen Jones gives as an example the return of Donald Trump and the MAGA movement to the centre of US politics.

Owen Jones could also have given Chris Hipkins ‘Captain’s call’ on a wealth tax which handed the election to the torys here.
