Welcome to Premiere House, the place is a mess and you will need to sleep in your car because only peasants stay here.

  1. ” Nǐ hǎo Mr. Luxie Yīnjīng Tóu,
I hope our ‘ Belt and Road Treaty ‘ is still intact? We’re looking forward to our naval base and receiving NZs REEs “.

  2. Welcome we appreciate you coming to our help. As you can see though we are not short of food my wife persists in starving herself, it is a nervous complaint called anorexia. Further she dresses herself in skimpy rags as a sign of compassion for those suffering in Gaza, and refuses to cut her hair till war is over in the world. So you see we are ready for peaceful parley.

  3. The Chinese Ambassador is shaking hands, and his other is wisely holding down the urbane man greeting him who looks like the drawings of Mr Punch on the once erudite British publication, however I feel it is really a manifestation of our PM, Mr Luxon (aka Johnny-on-the-Spot).

    • NZ PM leans down to shake my hand like a fisher leans to see his catch; they are connected. What if fish reverses the position and grasps the catcher. I have hold on his arm, symbolically of course. Sun Tzu would rate this I think.

  4. We Chinese have a very old civilisation and developed a scholarly tradition. I speak English and have read widely concerning politics for instance Machiavelii, *Joseph Needham also the background to The Opium Wars. We have long memories and learn. It would be a word to the wise if Mr Luxon remembers that, if he ever knew it.
The First Opium War broke out in 1839. It is called the ‘Opium War’ because of one of its major causes: the British were smuggling opium from their Indian colonies into Chinese ports against the wishes of the Chinese government.

    * “Needham’s Grand Question”, also known as “The Needham Question”, is this: why had China been overtaken by the West in science and technology, despite their earlier successes? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Needham
