The Israeli Navycontinues to fire missiles, targeting facilities and buildings along the shoreline of the whole of Gaza.

Victims:

113 people killed in Gaza brings the total number of deaths since 7 October to at least 22,835. With another 250 wounded, that has risen to 58,416. Fully accurate statistics are not available due to insecurity menacing hospitals in the Gaza Strip.

Al Jazeera updates:

Jordan and France airdrop aid to Gaza Strip

The Royal Jordanian Air Force and the French Air Force have carried out two airdrops near the Jordanian field hospital in Khan Yunis. The aid contained medical and treatment supplies and was dropped with GPS-guided parachutes, with the aim of delivering it to the specified locations.

More from UN: Nutrition needs aren’t being met in Gaza

Given the current stock and funding situation, UN agencies and food-focused NGOs can only meet 25% of the nutritional needs for malnourished children and vulnerable mothers in the next two months, the UN agency has said. “Without immediate funding and an expanded response, 375,000 individuals are at risk of severe undernourishment. Urgent action is crucial to prevent this life-threatening situation,” it said in a statement.

UN: 342 schools have sustained damage across the Gaza Strip:

This has affected the education of 400,700 students, who have not attended school since October 7, the UN agency OCHA has said. Gaza and Khan Yunis governorates, as well as northern Gaza, are highly affected, accounting for 74% of the total damage, the agency said. “About 90% of school buildings are being utilised as shelters by IDPs [displaced people],” it said in a statement.

According to the World Food Programme, 100% of the population of the Gaza Strip suffers from a food crisis.

Gaza cannot be isolated from the West Bank and is part of the territory occupied by Israel since 1967.

UNICEF: Gaza children chronically underfed, extremely traumatised

Children are bearing the brunt of Gaza’s humanitarian crisis as they suffer from months of hunger, trauma and displacement, says Tess Ingram, spokesperson for the UN’s Children’s Fund (UNICEF). Ingram pointed to a recent UNICEF survey finding that 90% of children under the age of two in Gaza only have access to two main food groups – grain and dairy – compared with five food groups they need for healthy development. “We are very alarmed about the amount of nutrients that young children are getting for their growth and development”, Ingram told Al Jazeera. The war’s long-term mental health impact on them is equally concerning, she said.

We’re seeing traumatic stress responses in so many children we engage with. In other conflicts, children may experience trauma, but they have the ability to go to safety. That hasn’t been happening in Gaza,” she said. “Until the fighting stops and children can feel safe, we cannot really begin to assess and respond to their long-term mental health needs.”
