Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist language, homophobic language, racist language, anti-muslim hate, transphobic language, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. No words!

This is the 24yo mayor of Gore’s ‘unofficial assistant’ who is a mentally ill, convicted, drug forger using patient and doctor records obtained as her role as a contractor at Gore Health. No wonder the council have problems with the mayor if this is the type of employee he wants to assist him and have access to sensitive information!

‘Incompetent forger’ worked as Gore mayor’s PA
    https://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/news/lower-south-island/convicted-prescription-fraudster-was-gore-mayor-ben-bell-s-former-assistant/

“Her offending was ‘’absolutely incompetent’’, involving the forging of prescriptions in her own name, taking those prescriptions to a pharmacy where she was well-known and a CCTV system was in operation, and even getting her loyalty card stamped, he said.

‘’If ever there was an award for the most incompetent forger in history, she would be in the shortlist.’’

At both her sentencing in March and her appeal hearing last week, Wright pleaded for Crosbie’s name to be permanently suppressed, despite his understanding ‘’apparently all of Gore’’ knew her identity.”

    • Would it have been more disturbing if the person had been a ‘competent forger’? I have noticed this before from prosecutors, judges, etc. Finding fault with a criminal’s performance is risible but some prosecutors can’t help themselves, apparently wanting a more proficient class of criminal!

  2. Mayor 24 year old, assistant female 38 year old providing Gore with services appropriate for 2023 ambivalence about what life in NZ is, and as we are all under some brainwashed view, that has been presented to the nation as being ‘the way it is’ then we shouldn”t be surprised at anything. Some older people do know more, don’t be too quick to throw out all the oldies in favour of the fresh young face.

  3. This honesty of purpose to rethink intrinsic behaviour is laudable .

It is an example to us how following what is common behaviour around us can be wrong and difficult to realise and change. We need to change the way we do things and think about them now so we are fit mentally and physically to cope with the world politics and climate change upheavals combining against us all. Are we man (and woman, and in-betweens) enough to do so?

  4. Fishing practices and catch limits. People are asking questions, limits on information are in place.

    March 2023 https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/485630/environment-court-allows-fishing-industry-to-keep-sensitive-marlborough-data-out-of-public-arena
Fisheries groups and the government have been permitted to keep commercially sensitive information out of the public domain at an upcoming court case focusing on an increasingly busy marine area in the South Island.

The Environment Court granted an application for confidentiality orders requested by Fisheries Inshore New Zealand, the Paua Industry Council, NZ Rock Lobster Industry Council, and the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries relating to some activities in parts of the Marlborough Sounds.
The organisations wanted to stop information about catch data and the position of commercial fishing activity from reaching the public during a forthcoming appeal hearing.

Conservation group Friends of Nelson Haven and Tasman Bay lodged an appeal against part of Marlborough District Council’s Environment Plan.
The group declined to speak with NZME, but a summary of its notice of appeal that was lodged with the Environment Court. It showed the group was concerned about what it saw as flawed attempts to preserve Marlborough’s natural character and landscape and indigenous biodiversity…

And the latest new pest that can hurt our food sources; the home fishtank business has been blamed, emptying the highly ‘transmissible’ plant into the sea and extending its range becoming a world problem.
There are a number of variants – Caulerpa taxifolia also Exotic seaweeds Caulerpa brachypus and Caulerpa parvifoila .

    What problems do Caulerpa cause?
THE CRIMES: Caulerpa is seaweed that is an aggressive invader of the ocean floor. It forms dense stands of nothing but Caulerpa. These stands change the ocean habitat so much that fish can’t spawn (mate) or find food, other plant life can’t grow, and other organisms (like starfish and anemones) can’t survive.
