Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist language, homophobic language, racist language, anti-muslim hate, transphobic language, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

The major flashpoint is the alleged broken relationship between ousted chairman Allan Birchfield and the chief executive Heather Mabin, who is herself about to leave. The council has had three chief executives in three years.

    Stalemates.
Surely this is where the Local Government organisation could step in and run listening sessions both private and public where the problems could be laid eventually before the public who would have to prove they could talk intelligently through the situation until finally the mediating achieves some sensible fair way forward – fair to the ratepayers particularly.

This rule from above which is how our democracy seems to have settled in, is against all that we expect. Unfortunately we haven’t learned how to drive the thing properly. Where did that crank handle get shoved – anyone know – we need it now!

….The presence of fire, heat or organic material like hay near ammonium nitrate could trigger or accelerate a fire.
WorkSafe said the business storing the chemical was issued a Location Compliance Certificate for the storage of ammonium nitrate in March, 2023.
It said the storage met the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017.
Location Compliance certificates were issued by a competent person who was independent of WorkSafe.
Emergency management requirements were covered under the Location Compliance certificate.
WorkSafe said it did not know the amount being stored, but the site was certified to store up to 349 tonnes.,…

Why wait for climate change to wipe us out. Do it now the modern way.
And leave climate change to take out the wildlife, with help from our malicious projects.

Warmer waters and sediment has caused 35 percent of little blue penguin chicks to die in Wellington.

  3. Seemore said the riches wealth doesn’t make their opinion count more. So does that mean he should give back the millions donated to him and his party as his donors expect their money to influence the election and their opinions and policies to be implemented so it appears their wealth does count more bloody hypocrite.

    • Good question. That money is not needed with Axe so shovel it round to poor local communities where the multiplier will in theory see five people get their hands on One Dollar before it is diminished away being divvied off in wages, goods, and tax each time round.
Nowthat would be a good economic thing to do.

  4. Blerta has a lovely little song about kingship. Our King Charles 3 has been around the world, supports the environment and can probably dance too. Also we need someone who has learned of law and justice, government and diplomacy. Not many of his officials and subjects in this country seem to truly understand these. And no republican with oily smiles and taking ways will improve the situation. Come Dance Around the World.

And so they danced, until they came to a beautiful castle on a lonely hill
There lived a prince with his two wise tutors and two guards
“Come dance around the world with us” said the man in brown
    “But no” cried the tutors
For a prince must learn of law and justice
“But a prince should also know the sound of the wind in the trees, and the song of the crickets” said the man in brown
“He must stay” they said. “And learn of government and diplomacy”

“But surely a tutor, a teacher should know the secrets of the moon, and the feel of the mountain stream on his feet”
“We must guard him!” said the guards
“Surely even a guard should know the feel of the wind on his face and the surge of life in his hands”
And so the guards threw down their weapons
And the tutors put aside their books and gowns
And they threw open the castle gates and danced out into the fields!

  5. It’s interesting when an ordinary person seeks comunication with a public figure not just discussion on an internet page, how hard it is to find a contact address. It indicates an exclusion zone wider than one supposes. Is there a central email address serving a number of journalists etc. so that one could put in a request for a chat to an individual or group, that would automatically reply eg that it had been received or a negative such as …is not available for some months?

  6. The principle of the ’35 Welfare State was to carry everyone with us, the underlying principle, we can now see, of the ’84 freemarket state was NOT to carry everyone with us.

How integral was that? Was it vital?
