Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist language, homophobic language, racist language, anti-muslim hate, transphobic language, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

Just what we thinkers have been concerned might/would happen. It had already been seen for half a century say, in the UK. But why should we lean anything from the past. Why should we apply factual evidence to control the lines of our decision making. We actually are more likely to allow faulty thinking to form our decisions to be deliberately faulty, on a long-term basis. Business can pay up for some fault a Court may load on them, then make millions more from repairing and replacing, improving the technique, the materials, etc etc. Turnover counts, short-term projects give money mountains.

  2. Good news to fall back to after the horrid realities appearing daily.
Radio NZ Have an item on Putin and the Wagener Group which is I am sure very informative and true. Then beside it is an item on the most popular dog names in Rotorua. Further on thee are continuing features- s film on a NZ biard which has got to film festivals – should be watched. Also the Harmonic Resonators from Tauranga on NZ Live sound interesting.
But also – What will we be eating and drinking in 2023.

    • Sorry about typos and I haven’t even had alcoholic beverages.

Looking at the news – this maritime item is a concern.
      https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/world/459766/plastic-crisis-needs-binding-treaty-report-says
The authors urge nations to agree a UN treaty with binding targets for reducing both plastic production and waste.
“There is a deadly ticking clock counting swiftly down,” said the EIA’s Tom Gammage.[
The Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA) ]
“If this tidal wave of pollution continues unchecked, the anticipated plastics in the seas by 2040 could exceed the collective weight of all fish in the ocean.”

The United Nations has identified three existential environmental threats – climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution – and concluded that they must be addressed together.

Multilateral agreements on biodiversity loss and climate have existed for nearly 30 years (although they have failed to halt CO2 emissions or protect the natural world).
The idea of a dedicated plastics treaty has been opposed by some nations in recent years.
But more than 100 countries, including the UK, are said to favour a treaty being proposed at the next UN Environment Assembly in February and March.

Do we promise Labour votes if they get up and lumber forward to sign their names and do some action quickly for good?
