Matt King’s new Democracy NZ Party will kill off the feral anti-vax movement from gaining political representation as he ruled out point blank cutting any deal with Vision NZ, NZ Outdoors and Freedom Party, and One Party.
I argued earlier that the egos of these lunatics refuse point blank to cede power to one another to gain the combined 5% vote to cross the threshold, which was the only way these guys collectively could gain Parliamentary representation.
That means the Voices for Freedom, the feral anti vax lunatics, the MAGA morons, the Qanon nutters and conspiracy Christ team won’t get into the NZ Parliament and that’s a real silver lining for everyone who wants rational discussion when decisions are getting made.
Collectively, these Political Parties could have breached the 5% threshold, individually there is no way they will cross the threshold.
In an election year where political violence from some sovereign citizen sheriff is a complete possibility, ensuring these people gain no legitimacy from the system matters.
Thankfully a boiled ham like Matt King has too much ego to play with the other crazies, ensuring he doesn’t get anywhere near 5%.

I watched a pod of killer whales catch then eat a seal who was lying on a large piece of ice.

Why am I reminded of that story when I look and read re AO/NZ politics?
Like it or not. Farmers make the stuff that we export that earns our money. Like it or not, but we have now nine non-farmer multi billionaires. How? We have child poverty and homelessness. We have million dollar houses in average cities. How?
I don’t care about the bubbles blown up our arse’s that is tourism.
All else political and economic stems from that one simple fact. All the hunting and all those bubbles.
And now? Our farmers are in deep water surrounded by killer whales and they believe their only means of survival is to panic and swim around in small circles on tractors doing self-harm by pissing off people who don’t deserve to be pissed off.
For my own personal record. I’m not anti vaccination. I’m not a climate change denier. I think that sometimes, democratically elected governments must act in the best interests of the people despite the reservations of a few, or even more than a few, but only in conjunction with full disclosure from open and full-details debate. And I’m certainly not anti cannabis nor any drug for that matter. All recreational drugs should be decriminalised. Recreational drugs should be within the scope of medical health. NOT criminal justice.
