I’ll just mention Sara Paretsky – USA author who writes about financial crime a lot and how people get corrupted by living in poverty for too long and then getting the chance to run big financial scams, ‘wide boys’ arise. Her character is all woman, but 100+ – not one of the woke bunch is V.I. Warshawski.
