You will have no privacy and you will be happy
News out that 1500 privacy breaches occurred in the New Zealand Ministry of Justice since 2016. Round it up to one a day, for years on end. What a joke from these arbiters of moral authority and process, these hypocrites who sit up on their highchairs and pass judgment and punishment down on the little people far below. The most vulnerable people whose records have to be protected because of the risks. And yet we are told the citizens of this country are the enemy of government, what with their misuse of social media to discuss the truth, their ‘weaponisation’ of information to hold the elites to account, the spreading of ‘conspiracy’ which actually turns out to be breaking news, or the distribution of ‘violence’ which is information the government doesn’t want released because it exposes their incompetence in their safespace, or worse exposes the abuse of their power. Where are the privacy commissioners and the human rights advocates and the internet safety NGOs to argue for the public on this vile privacy free for all? All I see is 500 government communications advisors being paid $100k each to massage the government narrative or block access to ministry machinations and records. Because facts can hinder progress (and sales) and accountability can be dangerous in the hands of the public, it’s for our own protection that we know nothing about unelected bureaucrats and they know everything about us.

I’ve had a great idea. There will be some Peace Institute somewhere in the world that probably gets good funding and could host an annual War/Resource Games that all the nations would be invited to and they play games with different pre-conceived initial scenarios and then manage the outcomes of those. There would be about three scenarios going and each country would have to play in all three. That way the likely outcomes and results of sanctions, starvation etc would be seen by all. And then there would be a discussion about what would be best to do to ensure that wars and conflicts didn’t break out. No binding decisions would be made but each country would have to say what their best idea to go forward would be. Let the world see the thinking of these …opaths.
I remember the musical Chess which shows the scene and atmosphere of an international match which is the Russian and USA current champs pitted against each other for serious prestige, also shows personalities and backgrounds of these competitors to the fore. Very good musical. Perhaps we could reduce tensions if we saw each other more often than in the RAW (Resource and Advantage Wars).
