Arriving at Belmarch Prison, the Bride, the Couples' 2 Little Boys , and 3 Supporters

You know the song?

Another Bride, Another Groom, Another Happy Honeymoon!!

(Not so sure about the honeymoon part!)

Congratulations and best wishes to the newly married couple, Julian and Stella.

Married 23 March 2022 in Belmarsh Prison, UK.

The couple were told that they would be allowed 6 guests. But 3 friends were banned, the former diplomat Craig Murray , a journalist and a photographer.

Stella Morris said, “ I am convinced that they fear that people will see Julian as a human being. Not a name, but a person. Their fear reveals that they want Julian to remain invisible to the public at all costs, even on his wedding day, and especially on his wedding day. “

    • Bad look for UK, US and their allies to keep this harassment going. The woke want to cancel themselves for being white and the west is more divided with the governments getting away with torture.

Justice needs to work and it hasn’t in Assange’s politically motivated case with the MSM also losing the battle of the people when they report propaganda and ‘cancel’ the news they don’t make money off or decide not to report.

      • No, your and Griffith’s defense of a traitor who endangered the lives of thousands is what’s tediously repetitive, not to mention immoral.

        • Just for clarification, neither Lois nor gagarin defended anyone. One congratulated a couple on their marriage while the other stated the obvious about your inane comment.
Please also note that the US security agencies stated that Assange hadn’t endangered any of their operatives.
So – irrelevant again Gaby. When will you learn your limitations?

        • who did he betray?…who died? names please, and who was embarrassed by their lies? ohhhh the usual suspects, ok then.

oh and the false rape allegations were a low, even for the CIA

        • Yeah right cos military shooters slaughtering journalists and children( that’s what was in the renowned video) Gaby_ is so moral and high minded! You are unbelievably stupid .

    • FFS! traitor to who? He’s NOT a US CITIZEN you moron Gaby!
And by the way his case now goes back to the District Court to be plead AGAIN as the first time round the USA’s despicable actions in the UK were being ruled on now according to British Justice it gets to heard from the defence’s POV.

      • That’s the pitiful thing about you so called progressives: you ignore the truth and the facts and think obscenities and bullying will compensate. Assange is going down with or without your foulness.

      • Don’t let gaby spoil the celebration Shona with her damaged heart and bitterness. Nothing can relieve her pain unrtil she has finished pouring it out.

    • Oh gaby our mission in life is to love-bomb you until all the poison runs out all squishy and smelly between your toes, and then you can cry and cleanse yourself. It is the only way for you to shed the humungeous burden of hate you have been carrying.

But best get on with it gaby, you at the moment don’t appear to have much soul worth saving.

  1. Thanks Lois
This whole indefensible attack on journalism and basic human decency illustrates to me the total bankruptcy of NZ,s claim to be independent. We will only denounce the crimes of America’s enemies .We will swallow endless rats to the point of choking when observing America’s crimes

  2. Somethings wrong when journalists and whistleblowers report torture and human rights abuses and then they become the criminal.

I guess that is part of the reason the west is failing to bring along their citizens and why their citizens are divided. If governments want to take the high ground on human rights, they need to make they police their own government departments. Hypocrisy is not really a good look.

Oh well, bad time to be an investigative journalist as they are imprisoned and killed by governments and criminal groups.

The west are losing the moral and strategic high ground as they continue harassment and imprisonment of whistleblowers and journalists who report human rights abuses or corruption of their own governments.

Caruana Galizia warned about corruption in Malta, and now we have a crisis in the EU with Russia invading and Putin’s rich cronies as EU citizens hobnobbing, money laundering and donating to politicians in the EU for the past decade, while nothing was done about it.

It seems clearer and clearer that the US and UK made a huge mistake to invade Iraq, – they should have listened to the public and journalists who pointed out what a mistake it was. Vietnam another big mistake that journalists pointed out!

  3. A great post Lois – indivisible from the theme of Chris Trotter’s posting on the failure of our institutions to uphold the essential principles on which our society is founded. As even Gabby will have observed, if she’s honest, when our media can promote harrowing tales of misery, destruction and death in Ukraine, 24/7, while ignoring, and even defending, far worse perpetrated over decades against, Palestinians, Iraqis, Libyan, Syrians, Serbs, Yemenis, Afghanis, Somalis and legions more, then we really are in a dark place historically. In any just world The Press Council, the Media Complaints Authority and even Consumer protection would be inundated with complaint, but, as the puerile letters to the editor columns attest, propaganda works, and so consent is manufactured.

  4. It speaks volumes that not one celebrity/politician/public servant/academic from this country has lifted a finger as we cower in our bunker waiting for the sky to fall thank you Lois
