Roy Morgan, or ‘Rogue Morgan’ as they are known in the game, have produced a stinker of a Poll suggesting that for the first time National have over taken Labour

National – 35%

Labour – 33%

ACT – 13.5%

Greens – 10.5%

Maori Party – 2.5%

…I know, I know, I know.

The Greens on 10.5%?

Like I said, Rogue Morgan, anyway, the trends are National are eating into ACT protest vote, but I think that protest vote will hold up with an avalanche of urban white male vote party voting ACT.

This could create an MMP overhang and the role of the Maori Party vote becomes pivotal.

  1. CGT now or lose many real Labour votes Jacinda or don’t introduce a CGT and make all the Luxon supporters happy, however they will still vote Luxon. Your COVID card has gone. Don’t be foolish.

    • Oh get off the CGT wagon Biggy FFS.

You say the same thing on every post you make.

Are you writing this from a script you’ve been given by National Party and ACT Party apparatchiks? SUrely, you’d be better off in a tent with the convoy haters, beating your CGT drum with them?

      1. Convince John Key CGT is the right thing to do to “save the economy!”
      2. He’ll convince Chris Luxon, who hangs on his every word.
      3. Promise the voters during the election cycle that National and ACT will implement a non-binding referedumb.
      4. National and ACT have a coalition, implement the referendumb and reneg (like Key did with no GST rise:https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/3311679/Key-no-GST-rise-video-emerges) and echoed Lies 26 and 27 and 352 around GST 435 lies of John Key https://thedailyblog.co.nz/2016/06/04/435-lies-by-john-key/)

Let’s let Key and his glove puppet Luxon, deal with GST lies, before we let them tell other lies about CGT.
      Lots of lies @NoBiggy

  2. 1 in 8 polls says labour and the gweens are dog tucker.

    Who would’ve thought?!

The Maori party getting 2% is bs. Not when they recruit 12-year-olds and promote the Maori version of Critical Race Theory.

    • So. What are the odds National and Labour team up!?

I give it a 50/50 chance at the moment. There is hardly any difference between them.

  3. That makes three big things that all happened on the same day.

Leprechaun’s were seen leaving a pot of Gold outside of every letterbox in NZ.

Elvis Presley held a concert in Queen Street and looked fit and healthy.

    This poll result.

  4. I’m sure it’s tempting to dismiss the pollsters (Rogue Morgan?) but they have been the closest to the only poll that really matters, the election, and have been operating for eighty years.

  5. 3 Waters, more taxes with the unemployment insurance, criminalising free speech on the horizon and constantly rewarding bad behaviour on MIQ and opening up the border so that more anti Labourite, pro vaxx individualists can enter spread Covid after their holiday/business trip, start their protests and vote against them…

Stupidity reigns with Labeen decision making.

They freeze nurses salary increases during Covid, now I see government paying $5000 to attract nurses that left the industry, back… retention has always been a problem for NZ employers with their low wages… Labour sending the wrong message that the government is going to prop up low wages with incentives outside of those that work in the industry currentl and prop up the aged care industry returning huge profits with everyone else taxes and then add more taxes to it.

Labour and Greens destroying private mum and dad landlords, giving away state house land to developers to be privatised, keeping wages low and making it easier to be a criminal than a worker to live in NZ, and then now finding millions need to be spent on emergency housing and motels that Labeen are busy buying back at great expense and poor quality…. same happened in the UK with Thatcherism, but they don’t seem to be able to work it out.

Labour will still be better than the Natz, but maybe losing hearts and minds with Rogernomics and corporate welfare still hot on their agenda instead of helping those that stayed in NZ supporting them.

  6. O happy days are here again people have seen the light and are drawn to the flame of success just around the corner

    • @ trevor sennet
” O happy days are here again…” You write. You’re an idiot. Or worse, you’re an influencer for the Natzo’s. All bought and paid for are you mate?

  7. “This could create an MMP overhang and the role of the Maori Party vote becomes pivotal.”

Nah, not really. It’s all downhill from here. There’s nearly 2 years worth of chickens to come home to roost for this government by which time you won’t find anyone prepared to admit they ever voted for them.

  8. Martyn
Way too early to crack open the craft beers. Gonna be a tight contest for sure…cliffhanger maybe. Some theories as to why this poll result:
1.The gloss is off Jacinda. She’s not the saint the media made her out to be.
    2. Labour constantly bullshitting the media and the public is not going down well.
    3. People are seeing life after covid…what has Labour done to make my life better? Not much.
    4. Living in NZ will get very expensive. Voters will blame Labour.

    • The Sour Kraut,

Going the early crow on an utterly pointless poll 20 months out from election day will result in two things occurring.

      1) More egg on your face.

      2) More bitterness and disappointment for you.

  9. When Jacinda was asked if she was finding it expensive putting fuel in her car the smug antipathy of empathy retorted “No actually, because I drive an electric vehicle”. Like, how superior and out of touch with the struggles of your own people can you appear? The neuvo elitist has forgotten who she was. Power really does corrupt.

  10. A little under 2 years out, and anything can happen.

    But…

I figure Labour have about 6 months to stop the rot and do something concrete or they will lose the next election.
They hid behind NZ First for lack of achievement and after their bluff was called with an outright majority, they blew it. The real inept party was exposed.

Housing so far is a fiasco, never been worse in no small part thanks to this Labour government. Jacinda still thinks we think Labour are taking decisive action as John Minto reported. It’s long suffering Labour supporters know that is a pile of steaming horse shit. Jacinda thinks talk is all that she needs you do. Wrong! If they don’t do something real like mass building, I ain’t voting for them. I can’t vote for a party that makes things worse. It’s way too important to ignore and to play political games with.

They need a good look at themselves. It very much looks like Labour abandoned it core constituency for it’s new Nat friends. Big mistake.

And get rid of the farcical light rail fantasy. It’s obvious it’s doomed and few believe Labours announcements anymore so dangling that rotten carrot isn’t going to win votes.

  11. I am tempted to say good but its not good because I would hate to see a Maori – Green Labour coalition just now as much as an Act National coalition. Damned if we do and damned if we dont.

  12. I saw smart-arse Bridge ask Jacinda how much it cost her the last time she filled up her car trying to score political points for the Tories on petrol prices. She sais she has an electric car and made a fool out of him. Like her asking dumb Garner if he was an epidemiologist. Glad that the natz spokesperson Richardson has gone as he was a useless sports newsreader – Bernie is streets ahead. At least Richardson’s impromptu polls on the am show had more cdedibility than the Rouge morgan embarrassment. Melissa is a knowledgable and analytical journalist as was Amanda. Bridge looks a bit out of his league among these ladies talking about irrelevant topics. Jacinda just needs to ignore all those failed governments around the world opening up amid covid deaths and continue saving the lives of us NZers. Beware of the Tories dirty politics project mobilising for election 2023.

  13. My take is that we are seeing what we see in US polling. Large discrepancies based on different political leanings of pollsters and a smugness of discounting polls by the MSM that they disagree with. Point is we won’t really know until 3-2 months before the general election about who is right and who is wrong.

The left of NZ are sleepwalking into a Trump/Brexit scenario in 2023 as the maligned will be more than eager to vote in 2023. Will the youth, Maori and Pacific populations be?
