Did Falloon play Judith or did Judith play Falloon?

Male Suicide is a tragic pain on NZ culture and our damaged mental health issues are deeply engrained as a society.

The hardest part of seeking treatment and healing is a toxic masculine culture that feasts on weakness and builds an environment where men can never open up about their pain, which is why we work so hard in NZ to always create space where it can be discussed with care.

Every media story in NZ dealing with self harm or mental health comes with trigger warnings and 20 odd phone numbers to call if the news story has put you into a head space of self harm.

So using Suicide and depression as camouflage for misdeeds as National Party MP Andrew Falloon has, is an obscenity so large it eclipses his original sin of sexting a University student who isn’t his wife.

This latest ugly, ugly business with yet another National Party MP doing some unethical act is the latest test of Judith Collins leadership.

The immediate question is, who played who.

Falloon originally declares a mental health break down to explain his act of drunkenly sexting a university student, yet almost immediately it becomes clear that the explanation given to Police was that friends of his sent the text message while he was away at the bar.

If this was a drunken mental health break down, why was he giving the pub excuse?

If has since emerged that there is another woman who has also come forward who claims he also sexted her.

So with the tiniest of investigations, Falloon’s story has unravelled, which then demands the question, where the bloody hell was Judith’s Office in all of this because she was informed on Friday, her big policy launch day, and if her Office had done the tiniest amount of digging they would have seen Falloon’s excuse wasn’t solid.

Did Judith wilfully turn a blind eye to Falloon’s story so that she could get her first weekend of media rounds from being tainted?

Is that leadership?

It simply doesn’t seem credible that Falloon’s story would have stood up to 5 minutes of scrutiny which begs the question did Judith and her office gerrymander this to avoid the negative taint because allowing Falloon to use suicide and depression to cloak his actual actions so Judith could have a nice first weekend of media as leader is uglier than his actions.

    • Thanks for your comment @ herman. Where would we be without your insight? You really are amazing. Has anyone told you that before? Your wit and wisdom is inspiring.
falloon flew too close to timaru and timaru, I hear, is where one might get caught up in all sorts of dirty little shenanigans.
Aye timaru? Bankers, brokers, golfers, lawyers, accountants, cops?
Salt of the earth timaru aye.
Pardon me, but I’m going to ask and as we all know, there’s no harm in asking.
A Royal Commission of Inquiry please? An inquiry into all past and present politicians and their relationships with their big money maker friends please?
A word of advice to falloon. Stick to softer drugs like E and coke. Alcohol will, and did, fuck you up son. Or better yet, just fuck off you sociopathic little pansy.
      Rangitata.

I would go so far as to say, falloon precisely pin points the very epitome off the enemy of the AO/NZ farmer.
Sociopathic, manipulative, exploitative, greedy, rich and privileged.

    • We may never know who else they approached first, but certainly the PM’s office was not their first port of call. They first went to the police. The police took no action.

  1. National from top to bottom again caught with their hands in the festering toilet bowl of their own making. ewww

    Compare leadership examples.

Skulduggery involved from the usual suspects regarding two UK sisters given compassionate leave from quarantine. Rather than divert attention away, or deny or say “I can’t recall”, Ardern takes ownership, states it’s unacceptable and puts a sound immediately to avoid a repeat and it’s successful. She simply couldn’t have done more or better. Kiwi’s are not familiar with such honesty and transparency from it’s political leaders after 9 long years of National’s version of honesty and transparency.

Diabolical conduct is revealed when private and very personal details about Covid-19 patients is leaked to the media. It has the National Party name and M.O all over it but they come out swinging against the Government that the leak was a reflection of the “shambolic” handling of Covid-19 by the Government. We all know they would still be trying to sell that bullshit if a high level investigation into the leak had not been ordered which they clearly hadn’t budgeted on. National were very aware that their trail of slime would be very easy to follow so confessions and high level resignations soon followed.

Andrew Fallon sends sexually explicit photos to young women. Among other things he blames mental health and talks about friends committing suicide. What a complete P.O.S reaching for that to explain away his reprehensible conduct.

His leader Collins sits on this situation for days until her hand is forced. This of course is the National Party version of transparency. When Collins finally is forced to lead, she talks about serious mental health issues which is now the established defence from National Party MP’s involved in marital infidelity and skulduggery. This is their attempt at honesty and not diverting attention away. Yet more epic fails for the National Party and their alleged leadership. Also hugely impressed that Collins with no psychiatric qualifications can give such a conclusive diagnosis of the offender without even seeing him. Psychiatry has taken giant leaps forward in recent days completing hundreds of years progress in just a three days courtesy of the current National Party leader.

  2. I hate to say it but there are some truly cynical warped people out there who recommend using mental health as a ‘get out of jail free card”. Word has it a celebrity used it after severely beating his partner to avoid jail. These creatures are the lowest form of life in the cesspit.

As you say Falloon’s story fell to pieces in minutes. Judith did the bare minimum and was only pushed into acting somewhat more decisively by the media. If it had been third parties sending these messages then no resignation was needed. And in fact, it appears to be a criminal offence, it’s just the police are doing their usual run and hide under the bed code phrase, “did not meet the threshold for prosecution”, because this is a politician, and for some reason, these lawmakers are held with the lowest of accountability and expectations.

None of this happens in a vacuum of course. This is the party of dirty politics and it attracts a certain calibre of candidate like a mangy dog attracts fleas. You need to look no further than the hall of disgrace that is engrained in the lower South Island Nat MP’s over the years. And really should Collins have remained after the Oravida scandal? Definitely not.

And please spare me the concern for the woman who received this filth from the current leadership. I recall only too recently Paula Bennett heading the charge for National and gleefully using the so-called victim at the centre of the Labour Party sex smear that saw its president dumped for no reason. That was and remains the true National Party.

    • Xray well said.
Add to that, Collinns oversaw the circus that was Serco in our prisons but the worst off al was her ACC portfolio. Turning ACC into a profit org and the icing on the cake, overturning Drs rulings on accepted ACC claims by way of a second opinion (Drs employed to overturn claims by way of “pre-existing injuries). The Hypocrisy of Collins on Falloon stating ” deeply concerned with the safety of Falloon”
Don’t anyone think for a moment Collins is prime minister material.

  3. Police could find no illegality here with ‘One hour photo’ Falloon so it seems the woke snowflake crowd has started molesting the story. Sending a dick pic to a university-aged woman (not a ‘girl’ as being portrayed by the media) is now the low bar for societal morality? Wtf, this describes 90% of internet activity. This guy’s legal but unsavoury activity has got nothing to do with the Prime Minister or the public but the woman who received the unwanted material does have the right to take action to stop receiving dick pics and fair enough to. Personally I find the MSM right wing narratives pumped out everyday offensive so I would not like to receive those anymore. I find the new normal of scaremongering offensive, weekly apocalyptic declarations ranging from droughts to mass pandemic death to the Russian peril. I don’t want to receive this propaganda anymore (I do actually ‘pull’ my news rather than have it ‘pushed’ on me). I find the judgy, pious sterility creeping into our government, censorship, standards and conversation offensive, especially when you scratch below the surface and often see the people creating and enforcing these rules actually have morality and behaviours far below the norm (what with their nepotism, elitism, fraud, propaganda, sex rings, race superiority, ecocidal capitalist tendencies, gun fetish and murder fantasies resulting in deaths of millions of innocent people). I don’t want to receive anything from these people.

    • Ethan Woke,

      hypocrisy
      /hɪˈpɒkrɪsi/
      Learn to pronounce
      noun
the practice of claiming to have higher standards or more noble beliefs than is the case.
“his target was the hypocrisy of suburban life”.

Interesting but unsurprising logic you apply.

A 21 year old unmarried intoxicated male was alleged to have behaved inappropriately toward others at a Young Labour Summer Camp. We had two years of Blue Trolls incessantly spouting off that the intoxicated 21 year old had sexually molested “CHILDREN”…yes, that’s right, children. The guy was discharged without conviction despite the blue trolls having found him guilty via their own blue kangaroo court. No evidence presented or necessary.

A 37 year old married National Party MP sends sexually explicit photos etc to multiple teenage girls, one described by Tova O’Brien on the TV3 news last night as being a “school girl”….but according to you, this is no big deal. How low is your bar set? I think we’ve just seen compelling evidence that it’s as low as that of numerous despicable National Party MP’s. Even your own Gerry Brownstain described the conduct as “disgusting”.

    • You jumped the gun there a bit Ethan . This story continues to build in intensity, may I suggest having another try.

    • ethan – “Sending a dick pic to a university-aged woman (not a ‘girl’ as being portrayed by the media) is now the low bar for societal morality? Wtf, this describes 90% of internet activity.” You say this like it’s normal, or a trivial thing not deserving a bat of the eye lid. If you think this is so normal as to represent 90% of Internet activity, you need help. Your view of the world and woman in particular is in dire need of a overhaul. I’m guessing your young and male and that you know nothing about real woman. Not porn stars. Girls, woman, real people. Get help you sick fuck.

    • Ethan – you refer to the ‘woke snowflake crowd’. From everything I’ve read and heard, I fall under that label – and proudly so. Anyway, because I am one of this crowd I am qualified to respond to your bizarre putrescent rant.

You miss the point altogether. The image Falloon sent to the young woman was, first and foremost, unsolicited – that’s right, unsolicited. She did not want it. She did not ask for it and she has every right to be upset over receiving it and, to her credit, to do something about it.

This is not an issue about setting the bar for society’s morality as you would see it as being, which is disturbing because in making that statement you endorse Falloon’s disgusting behaviour, rather it is an issue which highlights some mens’ attitudes towards women and what they, as men, feel they are entitled to do in that regard. Sadly, your own distorted view places you in that category of men.

You say that Falloon’s activity was legal because the Police said they could find no illegality here. The Police did not say that. My understanding is that the Police said that what Falloon did, did not reach the evidential threshold for a prosecution. According to a lawyer friend of one of my friends, that is not the same as saying it was legal. I find this hard to get my head around but I dispute your position that what Falloon did was legal. Anyway, I see that the leader of the opposition has referred the matter back to the police for further investigation.

You also say this has nothing to do with the Prime Minister or the public. Excuse me? Your moral compass must really be warped. It has everything to do with the Prime Minister and the public. What I do know is that we, as the public, have a right to hold our politicians to a very high standard if they are going to represent us. Doing what Falloon did is very much a matter for the public, not only because it was revolting and fell well below the standard we set for our politicians but also if it were not, then we endorse that sort of behaviour and in so doing we say that all women should tolerate being sexualised in the manner Falloon did to the young woman he sent the image to – the behaviour you are trivialising and endorsing.

As for the Prime Minister – yes, it does has everything to do with her in that she was contacted by the young woman or her family. Up to that point she did not know about this but once she had the information, she had a responsibility to act on it and act on it she did in a very responsible way by sending it to the office of the leader of the opposition. In addition, she has not made any comment whatsoever about it – the sign of a true leader. So what you are saying is that the Prime Minister should simply have disregarded the matter when it came to her notice because it has nothing to do with her? No Ethan, that is a very uneducated and naive position to adopt.

As for the rest of your rant, I really don’t know what point you are trying to make but in relation to what Falloon did I agree with Greenbus – your views do need an overhaul because as they stand at the moment they are insulting to the majority of all women.

      • Well said, youngsuffrajet; you speak for all women. No woman of any age should be subjected to unsolicited porn, it demeans us all; supporting it is misogyny.

The low bar for the National Party’s treatment of women was undoubtedly set by John Key subjecting a poor working waitress to week after week of public pony-tail pulling; Key said that it was just a bit of fun. Well he would, wouldn’t he. And I think he was actually Prime Minster at the time.

Falloon’s obscenity certainly had to be acted upon, and the PM was morally obliged to do so, if only for the protection of other women. Genitalia-fixated males are often cases of arrested development, and usually too dumb to realise how pathetic they are, and how little they impress anybody but themselves. We don’t want them.

        • I applaud both you youngsuffrajet and you Snow White for your comments. Well said both of you. Snow White, your last sentence is superb. Love it and so true.

          • +100 to all of you…no one should be subjected to unsolicited pornography and reduced to their genitals…it is sexist , reduces to objects, predatory and is a psychic violation and psychic assault …which can be a prelude to physical assault

  4. All mental health issues have to be taken seriously – even pervs.

Collins now publicly announcing that the guy is not to return to Parliament at all, compounds his problem and further disgraces him, when he seems to have already done that himself- not good.

Sitting on scandal for political purposes then tossing him to the wolves – ruthless; not even a good look.

  5. Hahahaha very funny Bert.
Judith did this by the book ‘Labour Party Youth Camp Scandal – how to manage problems’.
    Bestseller!

    • Because due procees was followed Herman. I know the right like the kangaroos court method but the young man was innocent. Collins was played very well and her minister has admitted guilt Have another try Herman. Leaked emails and now this, admission from the horses mouth!

  6. Advantages to having a former Police Minister as your boss: Those who try to bring charges against you are likely to meet a “No Cause” response.

  7. If I was a misbehaving Labour MP (trust me there will be) i’d be worried. This is quite clearly a hit job from the left and if you believe level 9 ‘just passed the information on’ after 48 hours i’ve got a full funded light rail project for you.

This miscreant, Falloon it appears has been behaving like this for a while hence why this has been held in reserve and must have been known in the beltway for some time. Expect a ‘Darren Hughes’ type event to explode onto the scene before September….there will be repercussions for this.

On an aside, surely someone in National would have known about this behavior prior to this and would have had a word to this Muppet. Another lesson why parliamentary staffers are NOT good MPs

    • ” on an aside”
Oh fuck off Frank! This IS the story, somehow trying to make out this is Labours doing beggars belief. National have been in self destruct mode for sometime and now everything is coming home to roost all at once.
So once again fuck off Frank, Whailoil is calling!

      • He’s a huffin’ and puffin’ and cursin’ and swearin’….Stand by for Labour’s turn. They can and they will beat National at scandals and I can feel one coming up.

        • Yeah Labour are just about to leak private details…oops no that’s been done, Labour are going to make up a story of a homeless man…oops that’s also been done and Labour are going to have a minister who texts, well you get my drift, that’s already been done.
I haven’t seen you condone this man’s actions Herman, seems your his type, so be very caeful if you feel one coming up!

        • Labours got a lot of catching up Herman, what with Todd Barclay, Jami-Lee Ross Andrew Falloon, Aaron Gilmore and the forgettable Michael Woodhouse. But given it’s a party that has a fettish for pulling ponytails and not remembering 450 texts at 2.00am in the morning, seeking special favours for husbands businesses, barging through airports and dodgy as sheep deals …https://www.politik.co.nz/2020/02/10/damning-final-verdict-on-mccullys-saudi-sheep-deal/ I’m not suprised you are clutching at an extremely long straw.
Even when the spotlight shines brightly on the lone actor, you look to the audience in the dark Herman.

    • Frank the Tank – how can you say that this is a hit job from the left? What a strange bizarre comment. How can it be a hit job from the left? What you say does not make sense whichever way you look at it. It is quite clear that the young woman who received the disgusting image from Falloon informed her parents and they contacted the Police and then, probably after the Police said it did not reach the threshold for a prosecution, they contacted the Prime Minister and she obtained the young woman’s permission to forward the information on to the office of the leader of the opposition which she did immediately. Furthermore, the Prime Minister declined to make any comment about the matter except to say that it is for the leader of the opposition to deal with. So, where is this a hit job from the left???!!!

Actually, this is not about hit jobs nor is it about which side can expose a juicy scandal about the other side, it is all about Falloon’s revolting unsolicited behaviour not only towards the young woman he sent the image to but also several other women as it turns out, and it is about his attitude towards women and his sense of self-entitlement to be able to behave towards women as he sees fit irrespective of their and all women’s rights not to receive unsolicited sexual images.

  8. “Did Judith wilfully turn a blind eye to Falloon’s story so that she could get her first weekend of media rounds from being tainted ”
    Answer yes.
    ” Is that leadership? ”
Answer yes if you vote for and support the Nasty Natz in September or at any other time.

  9. Riddle:

there are two pigs in the front two pigs in the back and one pig in the middle. How many pigs are there?

  10. Something not right here. From TVNZ midday news today:

    1. Police are now considering reopening the case.
    2. Judith immediately issues call to all those with evidence (girls affected) : “No, no. They’re to contact me“. (Slight paraphrase, but generally what she said.)

Anyone not see a problem with that?

  11. What is it with the National Party and plonkerism? Todd Barclay, Jami-Lee Ross and now Andrew Falloon…. young, entitled and plonkers. Seems like there’s a fault in their selection process.

    • Labour have their own group of plonkers: David Clark I went for a bike ride, I went to the beach; (he should leave now, he isnt’ capable of doing anything well). Lees-Galloway useless, absolutely useless, Ruth Dyson, oops I drank too much, thank God she is going, old and tired. Damien O’Connor “I present the right wing’, Tirikatene – got the job because he has the name nothing more to give. Kelvin Davis a former ‘successful’ school teacher, what does that mean. Carmel – don’t waste your time with this woman, just boot her out and put her on a benefit so she can really find out about life. Meka Whaitiri less said the better, Stuart Nash – the police never do anything wrong. Mallard – well past his used by date. All these useless buggers who have got handsome salaries for nothing.

Why oh why doesn’t Louisa Wall pack up and leave, sure she did one good thing, but one good thing is not enough – nothing, nothing, nothing for the poor.

The goodies are Woods, Little, Parker, Poto Williams, Duncan Webb, Faafoi, promising are Deborah Russell, Michael Wood and Jenny Salesa.

And the only non plonker in NZ First is Tracy Martin despite her major mistakes with Kainga ora.

We here in Otautahi expect to be saddled with Amy Adams as the next person who wants the mayoral job in Christchurch. Don’t these ex politicians all over the country think they have had their snouts in the trough for long enough. Power begets power.

    • Don’t forget Mike Sabin , John hair-puller Key , Maurice Williamson , Murray McCulley and Richard Worth.

      • …and the former Mayor of Auckland …he got played with …on the mayoral table

        …and he wasn’t even Nactional

  12. Guys, ‘woman’ means ONE adult female. ‘WOMEN’ means two or more adult females.
Know also the difference between ‘to’ and ‘too’.
Correct spelling makes a significant aid to & clarification of comprehension.

  13. What I am truly fed up with hearing is National forever beating the mantra drum of blaming someone else for THEIR(National and their MPs)mistakes.

The inability of National to take responsibility for their actions is mind-boggling. They just cannot face or accept responsibility for their mistakes.

And because of this ‘drug habit’ by National to resort to blame games means I wouldn’t vote for them ever. They just are not worthy albeit credit worthy to be worth voting for.

And whilst Judith now makes promises galore that we all know she will be incapable of keeping we can well assured she will blame Jacinda for one of her MPs leaving his cell phone in an area where it could be ‘mis-used during a ‘party’.

Come on National?????!!!!! For once in your feeble existence take accountability and responsibility for your actions. The day of blaming others has to end.

But be assured of one thing National and Judith Collins. I wouldn’t vote for you or your pathetic little party for all the Swamp Kauri and Oravida in existence. etc.etc.etc.

I bet Judith will be making the most of Cameron Slater now that she is leader of the most ridiculous party in world existence.

  14. Hahahaha BIIIINGO!!!!
Only yesterday I told motormouth Bert that I feel a Labour scandal coming on. Took only 24hrs. Thank god that idiot ILG is gone…wish he’d take that drug smuggler with him.

    • Herman Shovel Ready – A scandal yes but hardly in the same category as what Falloon did. Anyway, Jacinda has dealt with it very decisively and it will become one of those – “nothing to see here, move along” issues although my heart goes out to Lees-Galloway’s wife and his family.

Can I say too that Bert is not a ‘motormouth’ (your term). I read his comments and they are always succinct and on point.
