Serving as a U.S. Army intelligence analyst, Manning was found guilty of espionage and theft and sentenced to 35 years in prison. An advocate for transparency of the American government, Manning had her sentence reduced by President Barack Obama in May 2017. Since her imprisonment, Manning has received numerous awards for her role in the leaks and has established herself as a poster child for both whistle-blowers and transgender rights.

Named by the Foreign Press as one of 2017’s Global Thinkers “for forcing the United States to question who is a traitor and who is a hero” and blurring the line between United States hero and turncoat, it is with an insatiable thirst for information that we bring Chelsea Manning to New Zealand.

    Ohhh my… they can tour and have debates anywhere they want as they are speaking from the left side of politics and welcome.
    Now someone from a right perspective and speaks from a right side of politics…ohh dear, you can’t speak in NZ I’m afraid, or any western country it seems, and if you try the left will demonstrate and disrupt your debate and threaten violence of course. (Antifa)

      The difference is that Ms Manning doesn’t spew vile hate speech. No one will shy away from a contest of ideas. But hate speech is not so welcome as its more about vilification than ideas.

      Do you understand that im-right? Or are you deliberately trying to validate hate speech by pointing elsewhere??

    • Well at $60 a ticket, I think you will find this is for the devotees of liberalism, and not the ‘left’ I’m right. No one I know on the ‘left’ could afford that much money on a speech.

      And anyway the ‘left’ is about removing capitalism and universal ownership of property. By your definition I’m Right most of the republicans I know would be ‘left’, and they love capitalism and private ownership.

Manning, Snowdon and Assange should be offered political asylum in New Zealand, then we could get the leader of the Internet party (Suzie Dawson) back from exile in Russia, then we would be half way back to Society we claim to be, followed closely by making the GCSB and SISS officials and spys walk the plank into the nuked lake in Mururoa atoll, some start a crowd fund for this ill donate first.

      • Because Manning, Snowden and Assange are all being implicated in Russia-Gate when the United States own FBI investigators said they had nothing to do with it.

      • Actually i criticized them for their views on immigration, in particular the voyage bye the female of the two to intercept refugees from Africa in a luxury yacht and turn them back, im against dehumanization in all forms and ill happily turn up and punch anyone in the face who thinks otherwise, see im not a peacenick and Violence is the only thing these fascists understand.
