Latest TV One Poll – Labour 43% National 39%

Latest TV One Poll:

National – 39 (down 2)
Labour – 43 (steady)
Greens – 5 (steady)
NZ First – 9 (up 1)

National continuing to slide, Labour holding their gains, Greens stalling and NZ First recovering. This is an incredibly tight race, and the real chance of a genuinely left wing Governments looking more and more possible.

Labour + Greens + Maori/MANA could be a majority and Labour + NZ First could be a majority and Labour + NZ First + Greens could be the Government.

There are many roads to Government for Labour, for National they are losing roads to Government.

The National Party are going to freak out about this result, they are still dropping. A National at 35% and Labour at 45% is a real possibility.

Watch as the National Party dirty politics attack machine goes ballistic. The fictitious $11billion hole that doesn’t exist is just a taste of how vicious the rich and powerful get when they are suddenly threatened with losing power.

Yes we have lived under this crushing pit bull of a Government for so long “nine hard years” that we have become battle hardened by now so we need to double our efforts here people as we see light appearing at the end of this long dark tunnel national has pushed us all into.

UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL.

    I stand within a crowd,
    of unknown numbers,
Big Data, has not seen me,
Big Data has not heard my story.

    Contained,
    within the newly created,
    “social Investment state”
    here unknown numbers,
get manipulated to control our fate.

I am but one of many,
whom have fallen through the cracks,
of a government who refuses to measure,
    the social cost,
of punitive policy that gives them pleasure.

    The binary configuration,
    feeds his Big Data needs,
    of reducing financial liability,
for which he has chosen to overlook,
the real term costs to humanity,
    with negligible accountability.

The Mockingjay is in the air,
having risen to address fairness and inequality,
    The Mockingjay has seen us,
    The Mockinjay has heard us,
    not long before,
    together we set ourselves free.

For now we have seen you Mockingbird,
and we have heard the meaning,
    within your actions and words,
    which has gained our trust,
and provided our nation with a fairer vision,
    where our individuality,
need not be restricted to a,
    series of unknown numbers.

My spirit stands along side you,
    And while my heart knows,
that I am but only one,
    your call our Mockingjay,
has resonated within the souls of many,
and together we will now answer,
    your call,
    with our pledge of allegiance.

    Lets look past the grumpy,
    old white men,
    whose sense of entitlement,
    and desire to retain power,
    in our ever changing world,
    through exclusivity,
    no longer serves us all,
    in our modern world.

While Katniss brought change with arrows,
your positive words and realistic vision,
so eloquently delivered with passion and strength,
    has proven no less accurate,
in disrupting for the benefit of all,
the status quo that would have seen,
    the continued entrenchment,
    and widening chasm of inequality.

    You have seen me Mockingjay,
    You have seen us Mokingjay,
    You have heard me Mockingjay,
    You have heard us Mokingjay,
    and as diverse individuals,
we now walk together with conviction,
in the direction that your inspiring,
    and shared vision is heading.

    We have heard you Jacinda,
    You have awoken us,
and the time is now right,
for a more just and fair,
    readjustment of the founding tenants,
of what we value as a Nation.

    Lets leave behind,
    in yesterday’s shadow,
    the grumpy old white men,
desperately attempting to cling to power,
and awaken on the 24th September 2017
    enthusiastic and ready to create,
our better, fairer and more equitable
    future for our Nation.

  3. Who do the Labour Party want to be King Maker?

Who becomes King Maker is up to Labour.

With only a two seat difference, the choice is between New Zealand First and the Maori Party

In the 2nd leaders debate between Bill English and Jacinda Ardern, both leaders were asked; “What bottom line demand of Winston Peters would you refuse to agree to?
Bill English indicated that he would agree to all of them to get back into government, Jacinda Ardern said she would not agree Peters bottom line demand to hold a binding referendum on removing the Maori seats.

If Labour destroy the Maori Party and take all, or even most, of the Maori electorates, as they have stated they intend to. Then Labour will remove the Maori Party as an extra coalition partner to the Greens that they will need to form a government. And the nation will be handed a National – New Zealand First coalition government.

    Wake up Labour!

Give up your racist campaign to destroy all independent Maori voices in parliament.

The enemy is not the Maori or Mana Parties, the real enemy is the National Party.

  4. Watching Stuff debate. As Jacinda said, National have been drifting, using the word drifting several times, great strategy, as this is exactly what has been happening and exactly what happens after 9 years of government, Bill looked tired and sounded tired and judging by the crowds reaction, they are also tired of Nationals slack response over the past few years. Yet I feel a little sorry for Bill, as he is paying the price for knighting a fraud.

    • You’re far too nice Bert. Billy-boy doesn’t deserve our sympathy.
He was all too happy to bask in the glow of the ex-Merrill Lynch white collar criminal’s fake reign whilst it lasted. And he cared not one jot about those that suffer still from Nazionals policies.
If you dance with the devil, then you have to pay the piper.
His final career move will be to jump, before Judith’s knife plunges between his shoulder blades.

      • Very true Quicksilver, so very true. Just to clear things up, I was being a little condescending. I actually loathe the man and every time he speaks, all I hear is “450 texts”

    • Yes it would be nice to ‘ feel sorry for Bill’,… however,… it only takes the reminding of so many preventable deaths attributed to cold damp homes,

Child deaths caused by cold, overcrowded houses ‘deeply … – NZ Herald
      http://www.nzherald.co.nz › New Zealand

When we look back at groups like Talley’s and their atrocious treatment of workers, when we remind ourselves of Pike River, when we recall the 42,000 homeless, the family’s living in cars, the inability of couples to buy a home ,… Orivida, Kauri logs, dairy pollution of our waterways…

      And many , many more,…

Then our resolve should harden against these people. They have been viscous.

Certainly , a hearty belly laugh and a smiling face is harder to dismiss, but we judge a tree by its fruits. This National govts fruit has been destruction for tens upon tens of thousands. We owe them nothing.

Indeed, simply to be cast into the opposition benches means they get off incredibly lightly.

And lest we forget also , these are also the very same who advocate the ideology and philosophy to which Hugh Price of Hugh Price Publishers warned us of not so very long ago.

New Right Fight – Who are the New Right?
      http://www.newrightfight.co.nz/pageA.html

Never , EVER forget who these people are and what they advocate.

    • Not sure if Bingles knighted the fraud Bert. More than likely, the great fraud gave himself the knighthood, as despots do.

Bingles was put there to clean up after the fraud left last year! No wonder the great fraud himself endorsed his finance minister to become PM. He knew all the crap would lie at Bingles’ feet, costing him the election.

I’m seeing a change of government in a few weeks time. Go Jacinda 🙂

    • Bert don’t feel sorry for bill he doesn’t feel sorry for all the hurt he has inflicted on many of us and never will.
Many NZers including the national party have tried to say the 3 year term is not long enough to make effective change. But the current government have had 3 terms to deliver sire johns brighter future with bill as the money man now has this has happened. If you are rich or have lots of equity probably yes. And every time we have a tory government Maori, PI and our poor Pakeha whanau are further marginalized. How can you say working for NZers when that is only part of the story( like many of their policies) when in fact they are trying to help businesses so they can employ more people so they can create more jobs (trickle down hasn’t worked only trickle up) But then the government interferes with the market by bringing in thousands of foreigner to drive down labour costs. This is a supply and demand issue economics 101. The government has known our demographics they have known for a long time that Maori and PI have a much younger working age population but they have failed to invest in these two groups why? instead they have brought in cheap foreign labour hurting the very groups they claim to be trying to help. They have also failed to invest in our NEETS why? then they start blaming the groups they are trying to help when they have cut funding to actually help these groups. We cannot go on doing this. This approach is hurting the social fabric of our country. We must look for new innovative ways but instead we have a government dividing NZers and this is not good for our country. We need to be more inclusive. I see the lower bill and his party sink in the polls the more nasty and punitive his policies become. Now is this working for all NZers somehow I don’t think so. The next government needs to do 20 year plans. Who cares if we have 3 year election cycles. Every policy should be widely debated, critiqued and based on good solid empirical research. The word ‘social cohesion’ has been missing in our debates why? too many communities have been excluded and are suffering. We need to change and we need something and someone different if we are to truly become a great country so the ultimate sacrifice our men and their families made ( in 2 world wars) was not all for nothing.

  5. “Watch as the National Party dirty politics attack machine goes ballistic.”

    Said Martyn.

After saying that we will need all our options kept open as National turns on the dirty politics to full force until election day.

Who’s the King Maker? – Keep calm or we will loose.

    • As they see their power slipping away in the polls, they are sure to spin lots of negative stories about the opposition. John Key deserted National, when it no longer suited him to be PM. With the last few polls, National realizes privately that their show boat is sinking.

  6. Doesn’t surprise me. In our new world where personality Trumps policy (although National obviously have that against them too), Bill is looking about as useful to National as an ejection seat in a helicopter.

  7. Its virtually too late now for the Dirty Politics /Simon Lusk way of campaigning …

National is going to sink , … and in part from their own subterfuge. It has caught up with them at a more than epic point in history : right before an election. There are just far too many discrepancies of a serious nature to be ignored by the general public anymore.

All it took , … was a spark to energize New Zealanders again , and a yearning for good old Kiwi style politics. And that spark was Jacinda Adern.

Well done New Zealand,… you have chosen wisely. And like her , from your hearts.

  8. The Greens and Labour have said “No Way!”

Steven Joyce speaking for National said, “We will see how the election goes.”

Speaking to media following his speech, Peters said the size of Parliament needs to reduce because there was a referendum in 1999 where 80 per cent of the country wanted to reduce the overall number of MPs but it wasn’t binding.

“The public should be asked again now whether they want the 120 or 100.”

A binding referendum on the two matters would be held on the same day in the middle of the next election term.

Peters said both issues were “explosive” but in particular the Maori seats because “Maori progress economically and socially has been massively sidetracked, detoured and road blocked by the Waitangi industry”.

“How could that possibly happen when we’ve got all these new members of Parliament coming from the Maori world?”

Peters said he wouldn’t use “silly phrases” like “bottom lines” but he made it clear the referendum wasn’t negotiable.

“My strategy is to tell everybody out there that you won’t be talking to NZ First unless you want a referendum on both those issues at the mid-term mark of this election.”

He said the roughly $27 million to hold the referenda would be money well spent – “far better spent than this wasted flag exercise”.

National Party campaign manager Steven Joyce said Peters had so many bottom lines now “he must have a dedicated person to keep track on them”.

“We won’t worry too much about that until we see how the election goes.”

    https://i.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/94776411/winston-peters-delivers-bottomline-binding-referendum-on-abolishing-maori-seats

Make no mistake a vote for New Zealand First is a vote for a National led government. And a divisive race baiting referendum to keep Winston Peters racist redneck base happy.

  9. what is left in the Nat playbook of “Dirty Tricks”? so far we have had Gang bashing, Bennie bashing, Union bashing and Poor bashing, and fake economic memes, which really only leaves “Reds under the bed” and security/terrorism, or some last ditch personal scandal dug up by the state snoops

the usual scaremongering of “Capital Flight”, market crash/dollar drop may emerge, but for me the biggest concern if Labour’s polling holds up, is the state and corporates trying to influence Labour to maintain the neo liberal consensus of 30 years, support TPP 11 etc. when a new Labour govt. would need to do the opposite to succeed

  10. NZ, Let them SCRAP _ Give BOTH VOTES to ** NZ First ** __ Give WINSTON and TEAM the POWER to MODERATE ** Moral-LESS-National _&_ jacinda’s helenGrad**

  11. The most dangerous beast is a wounded one. National is wounded.

National have behaved in a predictable fashion … Joyce/fiscal hole.

The tax line appears to have back fired. … Jacinda’s debate response.

So what next? Inexperience? Socialist background? or character assassination?

Whatever….. it won’t work…. The emperor is naked and exposed.

    • “Inexperience” won’t work, because our god and saviour John Key was LESS experienced (i.e. time in parliament) than Jacinda when he became PM.

  12. I think I have reasoned this election campaign out.
In simple terms National are asking voters to vote using their heads, and Labour are asking voters to vote using their hearts.
This dawned on me while watching the three main leaders debates. Bill relied on figures, numbers and his underlying attitude was a plea ” you are all better off! look at the numbers! “They all say how much better we are performing as a country, how can you possibly question them?”
Whilst Jacinda asked “so if the country is doing so well, then why do so many people feel like they aren’t getting anything out of it?”
And of course Bill had no answer for that, he is a numbers man and the people at the bottom are just an inconvenience for him and for National.
Its like saying if we didn’t have any sick people we wouldn’t need any hospitals, so damn all you sick people for messing up my budget!”
Jacinda and Labour are asking people to look to their hearts and ask themselves if it is all working.
In some ways it is like 2008 with the parties in reverse situations. Labour had done well economically but then along came John Key with his “personality” promising a brave new world, which National patently have not delivered.
This would not have happened had Andrew Little still be leading Labour because I doubt he would have looked comfortable and credible with this sort of stance, whilst to Jacinda it seems to come naturally.
I think we still haven’t seen all the surprises in stock for us.

  13. National won’t release the National Benefit Report on the ” New ” TPPA -11 until after they have signed the TPPA-11 in November , so we don’t know how much the country will benefit economically , if at all ,until after the deal is done .Secretive Neoliberal Zombies.

The original TPPA had stuff all economic benefit for NZ so its highly likely TPPA -11 ,[ with no USA] has even less , but we are not going to be told before the Election . Vote the bastards out .
    .
Labour and the minor parties needs to strongly demand that report is released immediately before the election as voters have a right to know the economic forecasting on TPPA-11 before it is passed .

As yet another vote winner for Jaccindamania , Labour has the opportunity to hammer the TPPA nail deep into Nationals coffin if we find the tiny trade benefits don’t stack up against giving Corporations control of our democracy.

MANA/MOARI/NZF/GREENS and TOPS are firmly against TPP. Less so Labour .Consider this with your party vote.

I am deeply suspicious of the fact TPPA has been virtually absent from TV1/TV3/Stuff Press Major leaders debates .

Labour is starting to look like “National Lite ” by not coming out more strongly on TPPA-11 and should get they into power and change from an anti to pro TPPA the sense of betrayal would be enormous.

TPPA is still a vital election issue , lets lift its profile in the next two weeks , and put some real acid on Labour to support the solid block of opposition from the minor parties and get this back into the National debate .

I would be heart broken if Saint Jaccinda turned out to be just another neoliberal freetrade zommbiette.

  14. labour are asking voters to vote using their hearts and most NZers do have good hearts. But I think NZers need to also vote using their eyes. Now if we vote using our eyes and we see the gnats giant billboard attached to the side wall of the Auckland city mission where homeless people are sleeping how can this not effect our heart. Its location show someone clearly has no heart. We look and judge with our eyes first.

  15. We need the Greens.
If it looks knife-edge for them, I for one, as someone who has voted Labour all my life, will switch and vote Green. I am sure I won’t be alone.

  16. BILL: How can I attack Labours fiscal management, when they reduced nett crown debt down to zero, put twenty five billion into the Cullen sovereign wealth fund, ran yearly surpluses, and oversaw the best period of economic performance since WW2? And is Steven really telling the truth, while eight of the country’s top economists are lying?
I’m starting to feel somewhat chilly….as if the winds of change are blowing at me.
Are you certain I remembered to put my clothes on today?

STEVEN McSEXTOY: But of course, your double dippyness….
you’re wearing the finest, most immaculate robes in all the land.
You found your magnificent garments at the bottom of an $11 billion hole I dug, especially for you to rest in. If you’re chilly, then hold still, and I’ll warm you up, with some trickle down. Now just flap your arms Bill, and you’ll soon be rising out of that hole, and rising up again in the polls. You’ll be so hi, you won’t even see ordinary people anymore….
let alone, pretend to care about them….truly a miracle. Start your strong stable flapping Bill….we can do this!….it’s all about trust.

BILL: ring-ring-ring-ring….hello, is that you Sir John….are you there….sorry to bother you….but I’m facing some real issues.
Paula’s farting around like a little girl, trying to poke Winston in the eye, and Nick wouldn’t know pollution if it came out of his posterior, and now Steven’s gone completely bonkers. Do you mind returning….to get me out of this darn hole?

    SIR JOHN: hello….crackle….bad line….crackle….excuse me….
“hey Bronagh, have you booked our one way tickets to Hawaii, yet?”….hold on….sorry….now back to you….so….the way I see it….
at the end of the day….the fact is….I’m afraid….I don’t actually know you….honestly….you’ve got the wrong number….ok….don’t call back….gotta go….byebye….click..!

  18. Yes we need the Greens but economist and business people say the Greens are anti business. We need the Greens because our environments that we like to think are 100% aren’t of course and because the gnats see our environment just as they see our assets as an economic cash cow. And we see the Treaty of Waitangi is being poo pooed on by the gnats two examples the Rena disaster can happen again because no legislation has been implemented to prevent this happening again and then there is the Taranaki/Patea 35 year permit approved to dredge for Iron sand by the very group the EPA who are suppose to be looking after and protecting our environments sign it of with no consideration of the TOW. I also have to mention the many permits for water to be shipped overseas from some of our pristine waterways more shitting on our TOW. Now how can we expect or believe that our current government adhere to the TOW clause in the TPPA after all the above show a clear breach of the TOW. So yes we need our Greenies cause its not just the people that are hurting this whole damn country is suffering the land and the people.

  19. Just read through comments about Jacinda on an article in “The Guardian”, where she appears to have reached greek god status. Bill English on the hand is being cast as a villain, for his boring character, his rich man’s politics, and his nasty misuse of the word, stardust. That would indicate a positive result for the overseas vote. Apparently the young nats trolls can’t cover world-wide media Lol.

  20. 11. whatever billion. Whatever it is, it isn’t ‘vicious’. The tone against the present govt here has always been wrong. It’s severe enough without making too much of it. Truth is on our side. That the underdog is central.
