We are lucky and grateful on TDB to have Leslie blog for us on the ongoing tragedy that is antiapartheid Israel.

I think that’s a pretty simplistic reading of my thinking.
My support for feminism sits very well with my support for a 2 state solution and the ending of oppression in Palestine. I would also acknowledge that one of the by-products of occupation is the warping and crushing impact on women who become locked down into abusive cultures. Ending oppression and the police apartheid state that is the Israeli occupation of Palestine would be the best first step to empowering and supporting those women.
My love for indigenous people fits very well with my support of an end to the occupation of Palestine. As for your assertion that the Jews were the indigenous people of Israel, you are coming across like those South African history books that used to claim white people ‘found’ South Africa first.
My fight against ‘rape culture’ lives very well alongside my recognition that Hamas and Hezbollah are a response to oppression in their region and that if we want to start sowing the seeds of peace, prosperity and progress then ending the occupation of Palestine is essential.
While I agree the inside of my head is certainly strange, I’d suggest the inside of yours was terribly narrow, shortsighted and tediously unimaginative.

However…. the 2 state solution for the original Palestine under the British Mandate has in fact already implemented: Transjordan (now Jordan) and Israel.
The real bottom line for the Arabs and the BDS movement is all Jews expelled from the Middle East. They don’t want peace, they want genocide.
