Jamaine Says Funny Things is the latest one-hour show from comedian Jamaine Ross who is somehow able to lend an innocent charm to anything from porn to wrestling. Unfortunately, the material was somewhat overshadowed by two disruptive audience members who, it looked like, were in some state of intoxication. Ross handled it extremely well, but after pleading with them several times to stop, their interjections continued which made it difficult to concentrate.

The show is a window into Ross’ world, an extremely genuine and sweet person who sincerely greets everyone at the door. He is somewhat of a manchild, and presents a playful set around videogames, dreams, Rainbows End, magic and the like, which the audience connected to strongly. The show was not exactly to my taste, as I felt like there wasn’t much of the material that was unexpected. In saying that, he had the audience in stitches and Ross has an infectious attitude that made me immediately like him as a dude.
