I’m predicting that most of those who vote will all be voting no while those who don’t will be those who are apathetic. I doubt there is hardly anyone in New Zealand who actually passionately believes we should sell our assets. John Key, of course, will call the non-voters asset sale supporters. The moral of the story is, of course, to hope that enough New Zealanders vote to give the referendum weight.
Most people who bought those shares will vote ‘no’ too, they are not stupid either.
