LATE at the Museum is happening again, which means another month has passed, which means this year is RACING to the finish line. Avoid thinking about how much you have to do by the end of 2013 by heading along for a night of midweek fun at the Auckland Museum on Thursday. The panelists Noelle McCarthy, Dr Aroha Yates-Smith, Caroline Daley, and Colin Mathura-Jeffree will be taking Athena as their inspiration for a discussion on beauty and power. As always, there will be yummy food served by Dawsons and this time round, guests will be treated to music from Vanilau. Maxwell. Baker.

Ever wanted to get out onto the Harbour Bridge without having to run a half-marathon? Well, Sunday is your chance. Provided you like cycling, that is. It’s the MS Bike The Bridge Challenge. There’s a whole bunch of different events of different lengths and there are even ones suitable for kids and toddlers. AND it’s raising money for MS. If you are a keen cyclist (or think someone will lend you a bike for the day!), then you should head here to register.

The Show Me Shorts Film Festival has now started and it looks like a cracker! For those of you in far far away places like Timaru and Havelock North who might ordinarily miss out on festivals, this is your chance to get in on the action, because the festival doesn’t limit itself to the big smokes. The programme can be found here.
