Headline: Resignation won’t fool anyone
Another day, another official from the Ministry of Education falling on their sword, and yet there is still no sign that the Ministers responsible for the Novopay debacle are being held to account, Labour’s Education spokesperson Chris Hipkins says.
“Hekia Parata, Craig Foss and Bill English signed-off Novopay’s implementation, yet they continue to duck responsibility. It’s long past time they were held to account for the shambles their ill-advised decision has created.
“Allowing a couple of public servants to fall on their swords won’t fool anyone. This is a ministerial muck-up of epic proportions.
“The poor performance of Novopay is a burden for Ministers to bear.
“At the end of the day, the buck stops with those who are elected to govern on behalf of the people of New Zealand.
“John Key promised Kiwis he would hold his Ministers to a high standard, yet day after day, week after week, we see those standards lowered. It’s time he gave New Zealanders the accountability he promised and sacked those really responsible for the Novopay shambles,” Chris Hipkins says.

You can tell it’s a Press release from labour – it’s weeks late and someone else already cleared up all the facts for them.
… and:
“The poor performance of Novopay is a burden for Ministers to bear.”
Howabout:
The poor performance of Novopay is a burden for TEACHERS to bear.
Some in the Labour Party are STILL not genuinely concerned about the people they purport to represent, but rather they’re more concerned about their colleagues in that ‘parliamentary class’.
